Easy Springtime Centerpiece in Yellow and Aqua

It’s time to celebrate! The snow is almost gone!! Not only that, but I heard it’s supposed to be 60 degrees on Sunday! It was even pleasant enough to take a walk outside with hubby and we saw about 20 robins in the field looking for worms. This inspired me to play around with some items I had at home to create a pretty yellow and aqua springtime centerpiece.

Yellow and Aqua Springtime CenterpieceThis springtime centerpiece is one of the fastest I’ve ever put together.

And I was able to create it with stuff I already had on hand … even better!

How to make a springtime centerpieceI gathered together all my aqua tinted bottles, grabbed some wide burlap ribbon, and pretty silk yellow blooms.

When I create a centerpiece, I first decide my color scheme … then everything kind of falls into place.

I used a cream colored burlap ribbon to create a lighter, softer look.

If you count the bottles, you’ll see I didn’t follow the rule of using an odd number of items.

I used my wire cutters to shorten stems as needed.

Spring blooms in vintage aqua bottlesI love my vintage aqua bottles and hope to find more this year at the flea markets.

I found several of these at last year’s Country Living Fair in Ohio.

  2. The arrangement is wonderful! Yellow and the blue(in the bottles) is one of my favorite color combos. I checked out the pictures of your daughter’s wedding reception and not only are the flower arrangements beautiful, but your daughters are too. Just like their mother!

  3. Such a simple yet pretty centerpiece. Makes it feel like it’s warm outside instead of cold and raining. I rarely look forward to a Monday but this one promises a 61 degree day.

  4. This look is very pretty Jennifer. I have used a lot of yellow and green and aqua this spring trying to brighten up the inside while the outside is still white. You have a great aqua bottle collection! I hope your weather keeps warming up and spreads farther north. Enjoy the weekend.
