Waterfront views are always a prime commodity when it comes to real estate. But if something like this is out of financial reach, you can always do what I did and add a small garden pond to your yard for “waterfront” living!
Who wouldn’t enjoy gathering at this table for a meal with a forested view of the hills? I love everything about this dining room, including the bird on the beam! The space has such an organic earthy vibe.
Beautiful blue water can be seen from every window in this beach style dining room. Love how the blue chairs echo the water while the natural wood ceiling lends earthy appeal.

When I think of the perfect bedroom, it always includes a lot of windows to wake up with the sun. Having a natural view outside the room is an added bonus!

Let’s not forget about city dwellers! They have some of the coolest views – especially at night. But even during the day you can enjoy the hustle and bustle from the comfort of your own beautiful rooms.

These city views remind me of the weekend in Chicago with my granddaughter. I loved sitting in the living room and seeing the city outside. The apartment below is a Manhattan penthouse.
Our weather here in Illinois is warming up tomorrow so it’ll be nice to get outside. For the past week I’ve been working from home and to be quite honest, I kind of like it! How are you spending your time these days?

Knowing I can read and see your beautiful choices each day starts me off on the right foot. There is so little ‘normalcy’ in our world but I can depend on you. Thank you so much.
Aw, thank you so much Jean! I’ve been struggling with what to write about knowing that many people are going through very difficult times. After much thought I decided that perhaps my blog can take people away from their worries for a bit. Every day I’m now asking myself, “can I make it through today?” The answer is always yes. So I’ll try to continue to spread a little joy and beauty. Stay safe – and thanks so very much for your kind words. It means more to me than you may know. 🙂
Oh my goodness! Could you imagine being able to cook surrounded by the birds in those beautiful trees? or looking at that water view? Oh my! This brightened my day, thank you! Your posts have been a view into the world outside of our Indiana home. I am a homebody with an introverted spirit but I know many are not dealing well with all of the isolation. In time this will pass and I really think it gives us time to reflect on what’s really important and make changes if needed. I am ordering my garden plants and planning what I want to grow this summer season. Lots of beauty to be grown! I have tole painted before but just bought a paint by number olive tree online. I’m excited about sitting still and getting into the paints! Take care out there. Reach out to others and see how they are doing. Keep posting Jennifer, we need you:0)
Hi Lori! I wonder if you’re painting the tree I was just looking at the other day. It’s been a while since I’ve done a paint-by-numbers picture but I really enjoyed it. I might have to buy that tree kit. You’re motivating me! I’m glad you enjoyed this post. Like you, I tend to be more introverted and enjoy time alone, but I know it’s a struggle for some. I’m just glad warmer weather is right around the corner. Have fun ordering your plants!!
Thank you, love these views although mu very favorites are the mountain views. I would love to live in a house where i could wake up to mountains and see them in every window of my home.
Hi Marlene! That would be wonderful to wake up with mountain views every day. I live in the flat land of Illinois (which I actually love the big sky) so I’m just happy waking up to the sound of birds singing. 🙂
Thank you for putting a little sunshine into my day. These views are breathtaking and would love to be in any one of these homes.
So glad you enjoyed the views, Kim! I hope the blog continues to put a little sunshine into your day. We all need it right now – that’s for sure. Stay safe, friend!
Your posts are truly inspiring and uplift my soul! In Europe, I’m witnessing the overwhelming devastation being caused by the virus. Please stay safe and take care of your loved ones. Thank you so much.
Hi Paula! Thanks so much for your kind words – it means a LOT to me! I’ve been following what’s going on in Europe and around the world. It’s devastating, but hopefully we come together as people and look at life in a different and better way moving forward. I think our situation here in the United States is just starting to ramp up. My family and I are all practicing social distancing and staying home as much as possible. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the world!
Your posts are always fun to see. You’re right, these views are all fantastic! The bird sitting on the beam might be a problem. He is, after all, perched right over the dinner dishes!
