Explore a Craftsman Style Kitchen That Wraps You in a Warm Hug

True confession – I’m in love with today’s craftsman style kitchen by Joseph Rodrigues Interiors that wraps you in hug the minute you enter. The wall tile is a showstopper and the green cabinets are right on trend. Can someone just pick up this kitchen and adjoining dining spaces and add it onto my house?

Pale wood floors and a kitchen island keep the space from feeling too dark. The light counter tops also keep the room from feeling cave-like.

From this view, you can see the dining area that’s just behind the kitchen island and breakfast bar. The table enjoys a wagon wheel light fixture overhead.

Step back and you’ll see that the craftsman style kitchen is sort of an open-style galley kitchen. It doesn’t take up a lot of space, but its beauty and functionality make up for the small footprint. The refrigerator is on the left, encased in the same custom cabinetry. This helps provide a seamless flow to the eye.

A built-in cabinet stained the same shade as the kitchen island provides additional storage space in the dining area. Soft, upholstered chairs are paired with a farmhouse bench at the table.

That tile though! I love it. Along with the custom range hood that looks like dark brick with copper trim. A pot filler (something I’ve always wanted but don’t really need) takes residence above the ILVE stove. I like when ovens are elevated off the ground so it’s easier to clean beneath them.

Here’s a better view of the refrigerator hidden behind the green cabinetry.

To the right of the kitchen is a cheery breakfast nook with wraparound windows that provide an outdoor view no matter where you sit. I think the leather bar stools are the perfect choice for the craftsman style kitchen. They help retain a classic look.

The round area rug enhances the shape of the breakfast nook while repeating the green that was used in the kitchen. A copper pendant light works beautifully in this space.

Today’s craftsman style kitchen by Joseph Rodrigues Interiors delights with its olive green color and warm tones throughout.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

  1. I thought I would like this more- maybe there’s just too many different colors going on for me. The stove was cool and I like that the fridge was hidden. And the dining area was cute in that it kind of popped out. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

  2. I agree with Stephanie there are just too many colors used. I love the tile in the kitchen with the olive cabinets. The range hood with the copper trim is gorgeous. The breakfast nook is cute, but the white is just too bright to me. Overall, it’s beautiful, but not my favorite.
