Embrace Winter with Faux Fur Decor

cozy living, home decor December 1, 2018

Embrace the cold short days of winter with cozy faux fur decor indoors. I’m not a big fan of winter but I’m trying really hard to enjoy it.

Embrace Winter with Faux Fur Decor

Today is the first Saturday of the month, which means it’s Cozy Living Saturday when a few friends of mine get together to show our favorite ways to live cozily. You can visit everyone’s cozy goodness – links are at the end of the post.

Although I love getting cozy decorating for Christmas, I hate how barren the house looks when the greenery and ornaments are packed away for another year. This year I decided to spruce up rooms with faux fur decor that I can enjoy long after the holidays are over.

Faux Fur Pillows from Pottery Barn and HomeGoods

Yes, I went a little overboard with super soft pillows and throws, but it’s already helped me deal with a recent snowstorm that knocked our power out for several hours. The house got cold and the faux fur decor helped keep us warm.

I’ve got faux fur-trimmed pillows and furry throws …

… and ruched pillows that are silky soft. Seriously. I can’t stop touching this pillow!

When you’ve got knitted or furry throws, you don’t mind the blowing snow outdoors so much.

Ombre pillows remind me of rustic tree bark.

Almost every room in the house enjoys some type of furry, fuzzy goodness!

Even the bedroom takes on the softness of sherpa and chenille. In my opinion, these soft furry fabrics are the best way to cuddle up and embrace winter. It’s already helping me to enjoy the frosty season!

I’m not a big fan of faux fur, but you just might be persuading me to change my mind! I love how you have it all over the house and your dough bowl of ornaments is beautiful.

All that fir is a brilliant idea to use for winter. No need to put many things away after Christmas and you’re still ready for the rest of winter with your decor. Good thinking girl!

I don’t love winter either… except for the snow fall of Christmas. Faux furs is the way to make everything cozy and I must admit that when it’s time to store them away, I get a little sad!
