A black and white checkerboard floor sets the foundation for the vaulted kitchen with custom cabinetry and marble counter tops. French bread boards stand attention behind the stove while floating shelves provide a place to display kitchen favorites.

Wooden bar stools cozy up to the large kitchen island. An oil portrait gathers with white serving pieces and cookbooks. Subway tiles add a bit of shine beneath brushed gold sconces.

A pair of swinging saloon-style doors lead into an expansive pantry that reveals more open shelving. I like the use of small prints on the shelves to lend a pop of color.

The French inspired kitchen enjoys a roomy dining area with large windows to enjoy the morning and evening views. A rustic stone fireplace in the adjoining room is visible from the kitchen.

From this angle, you can see that the entire corner of the dining area is windowed to enjoy plenty of natural light while gathered around the natural wood table.

Although it’s not part of the kitchen, the nearby laundry room is a sight to behold. You can do a lot of laundry in here with two sets of stackable washers and dryers! The brick floor lends a wonderful texture against the painted wood cabinetry and trim.
