Friday Finds #1: Mustard Kitchen and More

Welcome to the first edition of Friday Finds here at Town and Country Living! I’m trying something new on my blog – a compilation of inspiration that I’ve found throughout the week and want to share with you – because I think you’ll like it too!

First, a little recap of my week. I’ve been working from home during this virus pandemic and I have to admit, I really enjoy it. I do miss some of my co-workers and I miss our amazing workplace that has a sloping green roof and ponds, waterfalls, and fountains both indoors and out. So on occasion I find an excuse to go into the office just to enjoy the sheer beauty of the place.

I’m inspired by nature and have spent quite a bit of time with my hubby working on the yard. New perennials have been added to the shade garden and Robert finished planting the tomatoes, peppers, and other veggies and herbs.

Finally, my daughters and their kids came over to play in the pond with a walk over to Alice’s Place for soft serve ice cream. It finally feels like summer!

And now, some Friday Finds inspiration from the week:

I found this pretty kitchen remodel that was inspired by a jar of mustard!

See how to make your own compost with these easy instruction.

Enjoy this set of ten watercolor printables from my friend Lucy that you can download for free.

I made Shrimp and Creamy Couscous which is my favorite shrimp recipe of all time. It’s easy to make but tastes like a high-end entree.

And finally – check out this video tour of my boss’ amazing backyard with a man-made, one-acre Aquascape ecosystem pond. You’ll feel like you’re walking the grounds of a botanic garden!

  1. Lots of great content, but OMG on the Aquascape video! Absolutely stunning…I love ponds but this just blew my mind. Thank you for sharing.

  2. Great inspiration shares. I watched the pond videos and found myself wishing that we had a little more shade in our back and side yard to put in a pond. In our Florida heat I don’t think the little creatures would survive in a shallow pond without some shade! Truly inspiring ideas today. Thanks and have a blessed Memorial Day weekend.
We live in the greatest country on earth, by God’s Grace and the blood, sweat, tears and laid down lives of those who have gone before us. 🙂

  3. These were fun and loved the water features, thank you so much and have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.
