Hamptons House: Fun Color in Classic Style
Today we’re touring a charming Hamptons house decorated by Alison Kandler. I love her playful use of color – it’s not overbearing but rather, just the right touch for each room. Step inside this delightful home with its quaint appeal.
A brightly painted Dutch door beckons you to come inside and make yourself at home.

Painted bead board wraps around the walls of the mudroom with built-in benches. A vintage bird cage adds a touch of whimsy.

Playful patterns on furniture and pillows add color to a sunroom. Solid taupe curtains create a neutral backdrop with beautiful views outside.
Green subway tiles add color to a cottage-style kitchen. Glass-front cabinets provide a place to display favorite dishes and glassware.

The kitchen island mimics the green hue of the subway tiles above the farmhouse sink. A Victorian style adds an eclectic touch.
A purple glass chandelier adds unique appeal in an white dining area. Pink and purple flowers, along with pink-tinted glassware, continues a pastel theme. Note the sophisticated decorative wallpaper in the glass-front cabinets.

Another colorful dining area combines the teal green of the kitchen with the purple of the other dining space.

The laundry room pairs patterned wallpaper with warm, yellow subway tiles. I love the flooring in this space and am considering something similar for my downstairs bathroom.
