Newfoundland Cottage: Charming Home Tour
Have you ever visited Newfoundland? I’ve only seen images and video on TV and the internet. It’s a beautiful part of the Canadian country with charming homes and today we’re touring one of the country’s cozy homes! The Newfoundland cottage is called Hare’s Ears Cottage and was renovated for travel company, CapeRace Adventures. You can stay in this vacation home if you take one of their travel tours.
A row of windows in the family room allow ample viewing of St. John’s bay on the coast of Newfoundland. Binoculars on the windowsill afford a closer view of the charming coastline.

Cottage style decorating and furnishings provide a comfortable and pretty place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. Fun colors lift the spirits and a pretty chandelier lends a touch of elegance.

The wall of windows with optimal coastline viewing, extends into the kitchen of our Newfoundland cottage. The home is located on the east coast, sure to provide amazing views of the sunrise each morning.

The kitchen continues the charming cottage style seen throughout the vacation home. Black window shades echo the black cabinet knobs. Wood floors and counter tops add warmth. Unique molding creates an interesting crown molding against the bead board ceiling.

The black and white color scheme is simple and lends modern appeal.

Newfoundland is certainly a beautiful place, but it’s not a country, it’s a province in Canada.
In the article, she never said it was a country. She says “It’s a beautiful part of the Canadian country”
Charming and relaxing indeed! Very clean, open and comfortable looking.
Homes like this make me realize how much decorating is a common language. Thanks so much for sharing 🙂
I love nice and cozy and that’s what you get, what was that over each window, a name tag or what? Just curious, thanks God i’m not a cat. lol!!!
This is what I call a cottage. Simple, functional furniture and clean decorating – unlike some “homes” that call themselves cottages and are really fine dining rather than a picnic when put in foodie terms. This cottage is welcoming and a family with children would, I think, be quite comfortable vacationing there. Thanks for the tour of a beautiful area.
