Inspirational Rooms from 13 Bloggers

I have to confess, sometimes I get tired of looking at my own rooms. I suppose that’s why home decorating blogs and magazines are so popular. We can live vicariously through these creative people. Thumbing through the pages of Country Living magazine, or scrolling through your favorite blogs, you can envision yourself inside someone else’s charming home, lounging on their designer sofa with your feet up on the coffee table, enjoying the surroundings.  This led me to think it would be fun to ask some of my blogging friends to share their favorite rooms!

Pottery Barn Style Living RoomLet’s start with living rooms!  Bre at Rooms for Rent claims her living room is her fave room in the house, and it’s easy to see why! Blue coastal stripes pair with neutrals to create a gorgeous yet livable room.

Traditional Living RoomRachel at Shades of Blue Interiors also chooses her living room as her favorite room in the house, which you can see in her spring home tour. The patterned rug immediately attracts your eye and is balanced by the elaborate chandelier overhead. Seeing Rachel’s room makes me feel like I need a pretty chandie or two in my home.

Boho Chic Living Room with Leather Chesterfield SofaAlice at Thoughts from Alice recently gave her living room a makeover and it’s easy to see why this room tops her favorite list! I love her new leather Chesterfield sofa! Note how the nail head trim and tufting on the sofa matches the nail head trim and tufting on the ottoman! The rug underfoot is a beautiful finishing touch!

Modern French Country KitchenNext up is an inspiring collection of kitchens. Jamie of So Much Better with Age says her favorite room is her stunning kitchen! So light and bright. Did you see the gorgeous dough bowl on her kitchen table?

Traditional Kitchen Dressed in BlackJulie from Redhead Can Decorate has a rich and stylish kitchen, dressed in black. If you’re not a fan of white kitchens, you’re sure to fall in love with Julie’s!

Traditional White KitchenJennifer at Clean and Scentsible loves her kitchen, and so do I! Lots of clean lines and plenty of natural light brightens her cooking space.  I love her back splash.

Modern Country Style KitchenWhen I first saw Kristin’s kitchen makeover on her blog My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia, you could’ve knocked me over with a feather! It’s no wonder it’s her favorite room in her home. This is one of the prettiest kitchens I’ve seen. Of course, I love a white kitchen and this one comes complete with a beautifully painted kitchen island and a fun, colorful rug!

Elegant Cottage Style Dining RoomOne of Shannon’s favorite rooms is her dining space. She blogs over at AKA Design and I’ve been a huge fan of her dining room for quite a while now. In this picture she shows how she decorated for Easter.

Family Room in Neutral DecorMoving onto family rooms … Vanessa at At the Picket Fence selected her family room as her favorite living space. I love her elegant, neutral decor. She has such a knack for grouping attractive vignettes.

Farmhouse Family RoomI also chose my family room as my favorite space. Honestly, it was a toss-up between the family room and the kitchen. Ever since we got the new sectional, I really enjoy spending time here.

Screened Three Season Sun RoomNow that spring has sprung, it’s time to enjoy a sun room like this beautiful one from Jennifer at The Chronicles of Home. It’s easy to see why she chose her sun room as her favorite. What a great place for entertaining friends and family, or sitting out here by yourself for a little peace and solitude.

Traditional East Coast Sun RoomDanielle at Finding Silver Pennies recently gave her sun room a makeover, putting it at the top of her list in her home. Danielle has an inspiring coastal vibe throughout her home and she has fantastic talent when refinishing furniture with beautiful paint colors.

Coastal Master BedroomAnd finally, Jen at City Farmhouse chose her beautiful master bedroom as her favorite room. I love her patterned wall and the touches of soft wood like the driftwood mirror and overhead light fixture.
