It’s a Nice Day for a White Wedding

Uncategorized November 30, 2011

An Indian summer served up the perfect day for my daughter’s country wedding at Davis Farm in Big Rock, Illinois. This was a true DIY wedding with lots of burlap, daisies, and sunflowers. Friends catered, baked the cake, and arranged the flowers. Mother, daughter, and son-in-law lent their creative touch with invitations, programs, chalkboard signs, hanging lights and paper lanterns. But today’s post is all about the bride and her dress! (All wedding photography by Heather Douglass)

Yes! Cowboy boots under the dress!

Special Friends
Okay, we’ll let the boys be in just one picture today.
Momma’s hands (that would be me) pinning on the birdcage.
My lovely daughter, Bridget. More country wedding photos can be seen in an earlier post here.
And now we’re busy planning for my other daughter’s wedding …
Stephanie will be wed on June 9, 2012 at the Hotel Baker in St. Charles, Illinois. Can’t wait!

The bride is beautiful and I love the cowboots of course!! How fun is that wedding!! I want my daughter to be married in the country with an outdoor reception at the ranch, but who knows, she kinda into the blingy bing, so who knows what she will want. She’s just fifteen, so we’ve got plenty of time, I hope!!

Do you have any contact info for the Davis Farm? I’ve looked everywhere for a phone number or email without any luck, any help would be appreciated!
