Natural Fall Table Setting
Fall doesn’t officially begin until September 22nd and it’s always a bittersweet time of year for me. I adore summer and hate to see it go, but I also love autumn with her crisp evenings and brilliant colors. So I always experience a mix of emotions this time of year. This week I’m celebrating the Seasons of Home – Autumn Edition with 6 fellow bloggers. Each day you can visit a different blog for autumn inspiration (schedule is at the end of this post so you won’t miss a thing!). I’ve chosen to share a natural fall table setting this week.
Fall is one of the best times for enjoying the fruits of summer’s labor. Some of the best vegetables are being harvested, tomatoes are being canned, and lots of fruits are still in season. Plus, it’s easier to cook once the weather cools.
I thoroughly enjoyed arranging a natural fall table setting with the afternoon sun pouring through the windows. I layered landscape burlap over a matelasse coverlet that I used for the tablecloth. I like the rusticity of the soft burlap.
I kept the place settings simple so the centerpiece would be the true star of my natural fall table setting.
For the centerpiece, I placed Baby Boos and acorns on a wooden French bread board.
I love the pairing of white and neutrals in this tablescape.
The acorns came from a local forest preserve where my daughter and I go running. I picked them up last year after one of our fall runs.
I just adore Baby Boos and found these at 50 cents each from a local farmer.
Aren’t they beautiful in their simplicity?
Vintage silverware is wrapped in a linen napkin and tied up with twine and decorated with wheat.
Football Mums make their appearance on my natural Fall table setting.
I love these big fluffy flowers!
Dried grasses are tucked in an enamel white pitcher in the background to continue the natural theme in the dining space.
On the built-in hutch, I added my wooden stars and bouquets of the football mums in blue mason jars.
Is there any flower that doesn’t look good in a blue mason jar?
There were 2 bunches of these mums at the store and I scooped both of them up.
I embellished the wooden stars with paper fans. I recently made these out of book pages for a garland on my dining buffet.
My natural Fall table setting is ready for dinner!
Be sure to visit the rest of the bloggers this week as they share their own Autumn inspiration during our Seasons of Home week. I can’t wait to see what they’ve all prepared! Here’s the schedule …

What a beautiful natural Fall table, Jennifer! I love how you lined up sweet baby boos and acorns on that fabulous French bread board (beautiful focal point) and your layered burlap is fabulous!
Andrea, this is such a pretty setting. I love baby boos, too and they cost a lot more here. I ordered a box of them cheaper than I can buy them here. Wow, you got a great deal.
Pretty… the simplicity of the little white pumpkins in a row with the acorns… just beautiful.
What a great autumn table setting, Jennifer! I love those little white pumpkins, too, and try to pick them up as soon as I see them. They blend in so well everywhere in the home. It took me a lot of years to not have a melancholy feeling at the end of Summer and beginning of Fall. Mine went back to when my kids had to go back to Fall. While other Mom’s would say they couldn’t wait for school to start, I was actually a bit sad.
I love the softness and peacefulness that your fall table setting exudes. Lovely!!

It all looks perfect – I didn’t know the little pumpkins were called baby boos.
I am just not ready to bring fall into the house since summer weather is just appearing on our part of the coast. I am getting lots of ideas to start working on.
I love your table Jennifer! Baby boos are my favourite little pumpkins and I’ll be buying some tomorrow. The white cabinet looks so nice with the blue mason jars and I noticed the bit of green/blue chippy paint showing too. Love it! I like the all white and natural theme you have carried through the kitchen. Have a lovely day! Pamela
Lovely, Jennifer! I think it’s gorgeous! The natural light was so perfect when you captured these photos too.

Jennifer the table is beautiful. Simple and so pretty. Love the baby boos I just did some decorating with them too. I just love those little cuties. With it being in the high 90’s again by us it does not feel like fall but by Friday it should with the high only going to be 60!!!! Your table is so pretty.
Kris
Love it! I need to get some little white pumpkins.
Brenda
Can I say that I LOVE every single thing in this post?
I am not a FALL lover especially the colors but your table setting and the colors are absolutely perfect! I think I like fall this year.
Thank you so much for the inspiration. Ciao Rita
Love, love, love your Fall whites and neutrals! So soothing, but still says Fall even without the traditional reds & oranges. The first thing I noticed were the wooden stars on your cupboards where the boxwood wreaths hung last Christmas. Just perfect for Fall…
I, too, love the little white Boos.
Now, if I could just get my pine table cleared of all the projects, I MIGHT could copy your board runner with acorns and Boos.
