The Ultimate Northshore Farmhouse in Boston
Welcome to today’s Sunday home tour that features a Boston Northshore farmhouse by Kristina Crestin Design filled with classic American style. Clean lines with a few fun touches make this home comfortable, functionable, and inviting.
The living room pairs a soft gray sectional with rustic end and coffee tables. The curtains and patterned pillows pick up the colors of the landscape painting on the wall, helping to tie the entire room together.
Expansive windows and French doors let plenty natural light into the room, keeping the space bright. Even the fiddle leaf fig is happy to call this house “home.”
The kitchen is a light and airy beauty complete with subway tile and impressive decorating elements like the globe pendant lights above the kitchen island. To keep the room grounded, the island is painted a dark shade of blue gray while the rich wood floors add a bit of warmth.
Open kitchen shelving enhances the farmhouse vibe of this Boston area home while classic Shaker-style cabinets give it timeless appeal. A Turkish throw rug lends subtle color to the space.
Rustic barn-style doors grace the kitchen’s pantry. A striped school house light adds charm and whimsy overhead.
A simple powder room features a laundry tub style sink with black metal light fixtures. The wood-planked ceiling creates a warm and rustic atmosphere while a geometric patterned window shade complements the room with slight modern touch.

Another sliding barn door makes an appearance in the farmhouse dining room featuring classic Windsor chairs at the table. A low hanging Edison lightbulb chandelier adds ambiance during evening meals.
A rich leather couch pairs beautifully with blue-painted bookshelves and cabinetry. The warmth of the camel-toned leather is the perfect foil against the cool blue of the built-ins.

Leather continues into the office in the form of a handsome desk chair. Dark paint creates a warm and cozy vibe while a collection of eclectic artwork makes for an appealing yet small gallery wall.
The kids’ bathrooms creates visual appeal in dark blue and white. A farmhouse sink lends personality and becomes the focal point of the room. A trio of animal prints adds a touch of fun.
Classic navy blue comes pairs with coral to create a beautiful primary bedroom. Matching glass jar lamps on matching nightstands add symmetry.

You’ll find more peaceful blue in another bedroom with a graceful iron bed. ย Floral oil paintings add a soft touch of nature to the room while a pink fuzzy pillow in the arm chair emphasizes softness.
