Outdoor Summer Dining on My Rustic Patio
Welcome to my new rustic (aka gravel) patio for outdoor summer dining! Today I’m joining a wonderful group of bloggers to bring you a variety of summer tablescapes. Thanks to Alicia at A Burst of Beautiful for organizing this fun event.
Last year we put in a gravel patio after finishing the deck by our new pond. Recently I found the patio set I wanted at Art Van furniture. I knew I wanted something with a bench. A lot of outdoor dining sets I liked had bad reviews, which is why it took a while to find the right one. People complained the finishes didn’t hold up to the outdoor elements.
For my first outdoor summer dining on the new patio, I decided to set the table with my fish dishes. It seems only appropriate since the patio is next to the pond where my fishies live. You can see part of the pond and waterfall in the background.
A beautiful pink hibiscus had to come home with me from the nursery. I knew it would look great out here.
All that’s needed for a centerpiece is a simple tropical-looking plant in a plain white pot.
It’s so nice to have our backyard done now with both a deck and rustic patio to enjoy the pond and outdoor summer dining!

What a joyous space you have created!! A little piece of Heaven 🙂
It truly is heaven! LOL. I sat out there one night with a full moon in the sky and thanked God for His beauty. Is there anything better than nature?
Your outdoor space is as cozy and welcoming as is your indoor space(s). Good choice on the dining set. It’s perfect.
Thanks, Pat! I spent all day outdoors yesterday and it was so nice – i.e. therapeutic. We’ve had cold and rainy days and very little sunshine. What’s your weather been like and have you done any gardening this year?
Your back yard is so welcoming, friend! I love your outdoor table. It looks like the perfect place to be this time of the year. Cheers!
Thanks, Amanda! The entire backyard has been a much-needed work in progress!
Your backyard and garden are wonderful. Your own piece of paradise.

Thanks, Cindy. It’s hard to believe we never came out to the backyard just a year ago. It was just a patch of weeds and grass!
Lovely table, and scenery, enjoy!
Thanks Marlene! I know I’ll be out in the backyard a lot this year. Have you been able to do any gardening yet? Our weather hasn’t been the greatest so I’ve had to grab any dry day when I can.
Looks amazing, really cozy. Love your plates they are really cool 🙂
Oh so precious!
