Photos from My Daughter’s June Wedding at Hotel Baker

My oldest daughter Stephanie was married last June at the Hotel Baker in St. Charles and we’re just now getting the digital files of the photos. I shared photos of the wedding ceremony a couple blog posts ago and now it’s time to share a few photos from the reception. (All photos courtesy of Jolie Images)

Hotel Baker Wedding ReceptionBoth the wedding and reception were held at the historic Hotel Baker in St. Charles, Illinois. This is the same hotel where my parents spent their wedding night 65 years ago.  Stephanie’s wedding ceremony took place outside on the balcony with a waterfront view right outside this reception room.  All doors had a view of water.

Wedding Reception at Hotel BakerStephanie loves pink, bling, and anything with a girly-glamorous touch. I love the birdcage chairs.

June Wedding ReceptionThe floral arrangements were amazing and oh so fragrant with roses, stargazer lilies, and more!

Wedding FlowersLucky me got to take a few of these centerpieces home after the wedding was over.

Bride and GroomHere’s the happy, newly wed couple with their children – the flower girl and ring bearer. I know, you’re supposed to get married before you have children but my daughter has always been a bit of a rebel.

Bride and Flower GirlMy granddaughter the flower girl did a great job! This was her second time standing up in a wedding. She was also the flower girl at my daughter Bridget’s wedding.

Bride and Matron of HonorThis is Bridget, the matron of honor, having a special moment with her sister Stephanie. The owl tattoo is in honor of my mother who had little owl statues that I had given her during one of her early stays at the hospital (she came out okay).

Groom and GroomsmenThe groom, my new son-in-law Matt, had a fun photo op with his groomsmen.

Wedding UshersMy other son-in-law Zac (on the left) and my son Cory were the ushers and had a little fun making their grand entrance into the reception hall.

Wedding ToastBridget gave a beautiful wedding toast.

Bledsoe-Henneken WeddingThe happy couple … the bride looking a little nervous about taking a bite of cake from her groom.

Wedding CakeReal orchids and a simple white pearl ribbon adorn the wedding cake. When I got married, I had orchids in my bouquet.

Wedding receptionWith the cake cut and eaten, it was time for the fun to begin. The girls enjoyed a little Soul Train style dancing while the men, too embarrassed to strut their stuff, looked on from a front row view.

Wedding ReceptionMy son Cory and his girlfriend of 3 years, Amy. She’s such a cute little thing!

Bride and GroomOne final photo of the happy couple. Be sure to check out the photos from the wedding ceremony if you haven’t seen them already.
