Pillows, Dairy Slabs, Beautiful Homes + More: Friday Finds

Have you taken down your holiday decorations yet? We took the tree down and now I just need to put away a few Christmas pieces. It feels good to not have tons of decor to pack up and place back in the attic.

Now it’s time to take a look at some things around the house that I want to change. Most are minor changes, except for the upstairs bathroom. Hubby is almost done refinishing the claw foot tub and then we’re replacing the toilet, the faucet on the sink, and the shower and faucets on the tub. Rather than replace the floor (it’s painted wood planks), I’m going to find a vinyl floor cloth for the space.

Are you ready to see this week’s treasures?

I’m currently obsessed with the new pillows at Pottery Barn. This embroidered beauty needs to find a home on my couch. Now that we’ve painted the family room a beautiful green (photos coming soon), the sectional needs some new pillows and throws to match. Did you know Pottery Barn offers pillow pairing ideas? Check out their inspiration if you need help choosing coordinating pillows for your rooms. And don’t forget to browse the ones on sale, too!

Have you heard of English dairy slabs? I hadn’t until I stumbled across them this week. Fellow blogger Cindy, from Edith & Evelyn, shared them on her blog a couple years ago but recently posted them on Facebook. Cindy loves all things vintage and French.

If you’re craving color and pattern, look no further than this beautiful Michigan home. I’ve scrolled through the photos several times, studying the mix of patterns in every room. It might be too much for some people, but this house made me smile.

Although this is a kid’s bathroom, I’d gladly take it for my own! I love every detail, from the color to the tiling and bathtub and more. All of it is so charming.

I’ll leave you with a stunning renovation of a Greek Revival home. I love the flooring in the pantry, but the entire home is beautiful.

  1. Always enjoyable to view a home with lots of color and pattern and I love the dark moody rooms currently in style. All beautiful even though living with them would drive me crazy. At this point in life I crave lots of peaceful ivory and earthy tones with black accents. Adding color and pattern at holidays that can be put away seems to work best these days.
