Simple Stylings ~ Charming Home Tour

Today is Sunday and that means it’s time for another amazing charming home tour!  We’re visiting Summer at Simple Stylings where she lives in an adorable bungalow with her son. Summer is highly talented and believes everyone can create simple style in their own home. She’s passionate about decorating, and her home shows it!

Summer’s porch is so charming and inviting. She’s definitely got talent for creating curb appeal! Let’s head on in to see more of her decorating talent.

 

Inside, a pair of charming blue chairs and Summer’s cute little pooch greet you at the door.

 

Summer’s charming living room has a pleasing mix of gray, blue, and white. Patterned floor-length curtains flank a bamboo shade at the window.

 

On the other side of the room, a floor-to-ceiling fireplace provides cozy warmth.

 

Summer has completed a lot of projects in her charming home, including her bright and beautiful kitchen. She shares her renovations on her blog, so you can learn more about her choices and projects.

 

I love the white subway tile, light counters, and wood cabinets … and I love the whimsical light fixture overhead. Summer has a true knack for mixing traditional and modern pieces together in her charming home.

 

Next to the kitchen is a dining nook where a beautiful tablescape is set.

 

Every time I see a beautiful office space like Summer’s, it leaves me craving an office or even a craft room of my own. Plenty of natural light flows into the room and a pair of bookshelves are beautifully styled. Even Summer’s son has his own desk in the room.

 

Speaking of her son, Summer gave his bedroom a charming coastal makeover. Note the fun “sconces” on either side of the bed.

 

Summer’s master bedroom is filled with cool blues and white linens. I love her playful touches of color like the coral dresser on the far wall. A fun accent piece over the bed lends interest, along with the faded rug underfoot.

 

Back outside, you see more of Summer’s tasteful style on the deck, with playful touches like the big anchor, lights strung overhead, and a fun red refreshment cart complete with a tassel banner.
