Wisconsin Lake House with Modern Country Style

home tour February 7, 2021

I’m placing a bet right now that you’re going to love today’s home tour. This Wisconsin lake house by Park and Oak Design is filled with modern country style that’s fresh, clean, warm, and inviting all at once. Pure perfection!

And guess what? The design firm is just a few towns over. How did I not know this? I looked at their website and everything they do is just gorgeous.

They even make a mud room look stylish and interesting with planked walls, built-in seating, and a beautiful wooden chest to warm up the white space.

A beautiful white stone fireplace takes center stage in the modern country living room with built-in-book shelves and wood beamed ceiling. A brown leather ottoman helps ground the white furniture.

The home has an open concept living and dining room. The wood table echoes the color of the ceiling beams while the black Windsor chairs mimic the black pendant lights and French doors. What a great way to tie a large space altogether.

You’ll find more wood mixed with white in the spacious kitchen with a white bead board ceiling and expansive kitchen island.

Don’t you just love this charming breakfast nook off the end of the kitchen? The light is just adorable and I love the wrap around windows. Love the chairs too – I wonder if the designer found them nearby?

A u-shaped staircase leads to the second floor. I think this type of stairway is my favorite.

Upstairs is a comfy loft with matching chairs and reading lamps. I could see myself spending a lot of time here.

Painted Jenny Lind beds are nestled under the eaves in a charming girls’ bedroom. I’ve always been a fan of Jenny Lind furniture, and I’m loving the light fixtures in this room, too.

A wood vanity with bowl sinks is tucked between a pair of built-in cabinets in a bathroom. Black metal-trimmed mirrors pair with unique faucets to complete the look.

Beautiful home, Jennifer, this was a great choice to help me forget about the sub-zero temps outside. I can picture being snugged in with a great book or browsing through your blog, up in that loft.
