Spring and Easter Decorating
Easter is still about a month away but I’ve started bringing a little of the holiday into my home, along with touches of spring. I love the colors of spring and Easter decorating … I’ve always been attracted to white and pastels. All week a group of us bloggers are bringing a little Spring and Easter decorating to you … be sure to visit the other blogs at the end of this post.
My living room shelf is populated with bunnies, chicks, and eggs.
This little chick followed me home from the store the other day … along with these wooden eggs.
I’ve had this assortment of eggs for awhile. I stuffed them in my white ironstone vegetable bowl and used crumpled shreds of old book pages for Easter “grass.”
Two little bunnies proudly guard the cyclamen. I doubt they’ll keep the kitties away but at least the flower is high enough they can’t reach it. Plant placement in our home has to be strategic … due to our furry friends. If you have cats you know what I’m talkin’ about.
I found these mini cyclamens the other day and re-potted them into these whitewashed clay pots.
A little burlap flower joins one of my mini cyclamens and a vintage bottle.
Underneath is a white ironstone bowl filled with twig balls and eggs.
Pink blooms brighten a corner of my farmhouse living room.
A couple more vintage bottles join the vignette. I have a thing for old bottles.
Have you started your spring and Easter decorating yet?
If not … you’ll find some inspiration at the blog links below!

Your spring decorating ideas are fantastic. I have started some decorating here and there. I completely agree with you on plants and kitties. One of my cats eats all of my plants and even tries to eat the fake ones. Thank you for the spring inspiration!
love the way you recycled old book pages into grass. (i just may borrow that idea!)
Jennifer,
I adore your home sprinkled with spring and Easter vignettes. I’m a lover of books, so I’m particularly nuts about how you used shredded book pages as nesting material in the ironstone, used old books for layering along the wood shelf and lastly edged the whitewashed pot with a book page. Thanks for sharing a peek at your home!
Very pretty Spring displays, Jennifer! I love those mini cyclamens. I don’t think I’ve every seen those before and now I want one! Your white washed pots look great. I love those little white rabbits, too.
Everything looks so fresh and pretty! Love the eggs in the ironstone with the bookpage grass. Love ALL your spring touches! XO
Hi Jennifer,
Love all your Easter and Spring vignettes. I love those mini cyclamens too. I think I will have to look into those too. Very pretty.

Quite lovely!!! I find Easter to be the perfect excuse for me to use pastels so I am loving the inspiration!!! Those eggs are fabulous!!! ~Christy
Oh my goodness everything is so pretty! The book page Easter grass is genius, and I love how you used a page on the flower pot also. The vintage bottles, speckled eggs, cyclamens, and bunnies are just perfect. Beautiful job decorating! Thanks for joining the tour and sharing your living room Jennifer!
Love all of your touches of spring and Easter. My favorite thing is the ironstone dish loaded with pretty eggs. I especially like your idea of making filler with old book pages. Everything looks lovely!
Jennifer as always your house looks beautiful! I love all of the pastels and the vintage touches! Perfection!
Your home is like a fresh Springtime breeze Jennifer! Your Easter decor is lovely and the pop of pink in your vintage bottles are perfection.
Oh my goodness….all so beautiful! The pops of pink are perfect. I adore the little round table and vignette! And oh, I have a thing for old bottles too. I have a small collection. The blue ones are my favorite!

So sweet, Jennifer! Those wooden eggs are just adorable and look so realistic! Aren’t you so happy that spring has FINALLY arrived? Even though we still have snow piles here and there around the yard, the birds are singing every morning and we’re having more sunny days. Praise the Lord! 🙂

Absolutely beautiful. I love your taste and style. My favorite is the shredded book pages. Perfection. Thanks for the inspiration. As always. Pinned.
I just got back from Joann Fabrics where I bought some moss for my collection of wooden carved eggs. Now I know how to set them off — white wicker balls, which I already have in the stash. Thanks for the inspiration!
Oh so pretty! I love the chippy bunny. Did you make the burlap flower? I love the wheat picture too with the pretties sitting on the shelf. Very spring!
Thanks! Unfortunately, I can’t take credit for making the burlap flower. I found it for just $2 though. 🙂
I just love your touches of spring and Easter. That vignette on that table is so pretty and the glass bottle is such a pretty color. Love the speckled eggs.

Hi there! As usual, love the displays! I was wondering if you have a post about white washing the terra cotta pots?
Thanks Lisa! You can find instructions for whitewashing the pots here: http://www.town-n-country-living.com/diy-mossy-pots.html
You always decorate everything so beautifully, Jennifer.
What a cheery vignette and, of course, perfect for the season. Each of your elements deserves attention. I, too, have a thing for bottles and use them all the time.
