Stuff I Wanna Get Done in 2012
If I were to list everything I wanna get done in 2012, this blog post would involve so much scrolling down the page that you’d be sure to get carpal tunnel syndrome. For now, I’ll limit it to manageable goals … and goals for which I have pictures taken. So in no particular order …
Paint the house. This photo was taken several years ago so it doesn’t look like it needs painting.
Fast forward about 10 years and this little cottage is in need of a paint job.
Paint the dining room and make some curtains.
Add beadboard to the stair risers.
Paint this desk (are you noticing a trend here? Lots of painting in my future)
in some shade of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint.
Finish the bathroom. Where’d the tub go?
Why, it’s here in the disheveled dining room. Where else would it be?

Get our rescue kitty acclimated to the rest of our motley crew.
His name is Puddy and we found him in the basement. Don’t ask. Sigh.
Spend more time with this handsome fella …

And this little princess …
And get my daughter Stephanie hitched to her man, Matt, on June 9th.
Of course, there’s my son’s graduation to attend in May, another daughter to blog with,
aging parents to care for, and a sister to get reacquainted with … so if a few projects around the house
don’t get accomplished because a few people need to come first … that’s quite alright with me!

You are gonna have a really fun 2012! A wedding? So much fun. Your cottage is so darling, I love to pick new exterior paint colors (mine’s vinyl…boring). I like that desk the way it is and of course the dining room has the tub in it….that was way funny!!! Cheers to 2012. I don’t even know what I want to do. :/

I am loving your house and your porch. You have our grandparents dining room and great aunt Phyllis’s staircase and the tub of my dreams. (I do have out in the yard – hill billy hot tub.) I can’t wait to see the desk project. Of course I love kitties.

Hi Jennifer! Thanks so much for stopping my my blog. Your cottage is beautiful! Though my farmhouse is 100 years old, I’ve been told that tax records weren’t kept until the early 1900s, so chances are it’s been around since the late 1800s, just like yours. 🙂
