Swedish Cottage Tour and Decorating Tips: Friday Finds
Wow. This is the last full week of October. Why can’t January fly by like this? Next week the inundation of Christmas decorating and shopping will be in full force. I’m not ready yet. But I wasn’t ready for fall either and somehow managed to get into the spirit of things. All it will take is one cold day to get me humming jingle bells. Let’s hope that day is later rather than sooner. LOL. On another note, let’s take a look at this week’s Friday Finds!
I’ve loved Scandinavian decorating for as long as I can remember so I’m starting today’s finds with a charming Swedish cottage decorated in vintage farmhouse style. If I ever travel to the Nordic countries, I’d live to find a little Airbnb just like this.
If you have plans to paint a room in the near future, you might want to look at Yond Interiors’ suggestion on painting trim a contrasting color. I love their examples of what they’ve done!
This amazing bathroom remodel is truly one of the best I’ve ever seen. Love the color, love the arched shower door – and so much more!
Do you have a small room? The Spruce shares which decorating rules you can break when decorating small spaces. And we all know how much fun it is to break rules!
If you’re in the market for a new tree this holiday season, Birch Lane is currently having their “friends and family” sale on their Christmas trees. I’ve already started working on the style of this year’s tree. It’s going to be different than last year’s tree.
For today’s blast from the past (which I forgot to include last Friday), I’m sharing a post about fall decorations in my kitchen back from 2017. I didn’t realize I’ve had my farmhouse mugs for six years now. I’m surprised none of them have broken yet.
And now it’s time to head into the weekend. Tonight we’re going to my grandson’s football playoff game, and tomorrow it’s brunch with my daughters at Buttermilk in Geneva. They have the best cappuccino and honey biscuits! What do you have planned?
Got lots of ideas as usual. I love the Swedish style also it’s simple but pretty. You have fun with your family and thanks once again for Friday Finds.
