Three Sensational Home Tours and More: Friday Finds

Enjoy these last days of October when the Earth becomes ablaze with color and gorgeous sunsets. It’s a good time to head outside and savor the calm before the storm. And by storm, I mean the holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas. I decided to host Thanksgiving this year and have already started planning for it, from the menu to holiday games we can play with the kids to make the day especially memorable. I’m looking forward to it. I’m also looking forward to sharing today’s lineup of Friday’s Finds with you. The houses are pretty amazing – I think you’ll love all three.

Boston home in the fall season

Let’s start today’s lineup with a beautiful New England restoration. The 1796 home was built directly on the ground and over the years, had additions that changed its blueprint – and its soul. The house now shares much of its original beauty and it’s a sight to behold!

You may have heard of designer Amber Lewis, who excels at decorating with neutrals and textures. I stumbled across her six principles that define her approach to interior design. I have a copy of her first book, Made for Living, which teaches you how to create your own style based on what you love.

Hailing from Connecticut, you’re sure to fall in love with this Cape Cod charmer. From the front porch to the wallpaper in the bathroom, everything in this home is so endearing and tastefully executed.

It might still be a couple of months until Christmas arrives, but it’s a perfect time for starting your holiday crafts while you’ve got the time. I’m especially inspired by these air-dry clay ornaments and hope to make a few of them.

Take a virtual trip to Sweden to tour a dreamy, thatched cottage in the countryside. I love all the earthy tones and the traditional architecture. I wouldn’t change a thing about this home.

I hope you have a great weekend! Maybe you can find some time to grab an apple cider donut and find the perfect pumpkin for your porch!
