Wonderful English Country Home, Small Kitchens, and More :Friday Finds
Happy last Friday of June! Although, I’m not really happy with this month ending because I like summer to last as long as possible. This year I’m trying my hand at growing miniature lotus in tabletop pots. Both plants that I ordered are shooting up leaves but I’m most anxious for the flowers to appear – which typically happens midway through July. I’ll let you know if they’re a success or not. But now, let’s check out this week’s inspiring finds.

I’ll end with one of my favorite fish recipes that I like to make this time of year – Broiled Tilapia Parmesan. It’s easy to make and is a nice, light entrée for warm summer days. Serve with your favorite veggie!

Goodbye, June. Hello Florida sunshine, afternoon showers and heat. Thank goodness it’s all healing for the body and soul. So sorry about the smoke from the fires. It’s really sad how the wilderness areas aren’t being allowed to manage for fires more effectively anymore. No controlled burns, digging of fire trenches etc is a recipe for disaster, which of course, is what we are seeing when arson or carelessness occurs. Hopefully, folks will wake up and go back to time-tested forest management which enhances the wilderness areas and not erode them. Sigh. You know what? Out of ALL those kitchens, I didn’t see a single one as cute as YOURS!! Looking forward to seeing it when you are done with the tweaks. Perhaps the summer heat will get you inspired to finish up inside. But, I’d be sitting on the edge of your deck, dangling my feet in your gorgeous pond all day long if I had the chance!

The pink kitchen is off to a good start and a color I would not have thought of. Love the easy linguine dish, more would be appreciated.
