With the weather warming up and the days getting longer, I thought touring a beach style Cape Cod charmer by Patricia Stone Interiors might be just the thing that’s needed to enhance the lighter feeling of spring.. The newly renovated kitchen showcases an island with vertical wood planks with a granite counter top. A custom refrigerator bears the same shade of gray as the flooring and blends well with the subway tile.

The wood paneling around the kitchen island looks a little like driftwood, evoking the mood of beach style with the soft gray of the cabinets and tiles. The geometric pendant lights are a fun touch.

Windows are left unfettered from curtains, allowing a view into the pretty backyard. White shiplap walls lend airy appeal to the kitchen dining nook with a light wood table and modern dining chairs.

White and wood continue into the living room with the same shiplap walls and the addition of faintly white-washed wood ceiling beams. A painting of the ocean and an architectural piece of driftwood in the corner bring home the beach style Cape Cod vibe.

  1. The small area of shark wallpaper adds such cute whimsy to a sleek style. Love that. I like the covering of the appliances so they blend in as cabinetry and I know I’d love to do shaker style for our next homes exterior. Beautiful home.
