10 Stairway Design Ideas

Do you have a home design element that you absolutely love?

Maybe it’s fireplaces or garden tubs. For me, it’s stairways!

I don’t know why, but I’ve always had a thing for beautiful staircases.

So today I thought I’d share a collection of stairway design ideas that I found on Houzz.

Where do I start with this staircase? I love everything about it!

A dark railing paired with white posts is dramatic.

The large windows let in loads of natural light and the circle window adds charm.

Oh, and then there’s the little bench on the landing! What’s not to love?

Here’s another staircase with several design elements that I love.

Natural wood looks so pretty next to painted teal trim.

And the railing adds a bit of fun, cottage style.

A modern take on a farmhouse staircase results in unique design elements.

A simple newel post and an 8-pane window frame the short staiway.

If rustic is more your style, you’ll love this rich staircase with a stone wall.

I love that some of the stones jut out to make little shelves for candles.

I adore this cottage staircase with its painted runner!

I think I might try this design technique on my own stairway.

The oil paintings add vibrant color, breaking up the expanse of white. Lovely!
