Charming Home Tour ~ Savvy Southern Style

Today is a very special day because I’m featuring the home of a popular and highly talented blogger … Kim of Savvy Southern Style!  I’ve been reading Kim’s blog ever since I started blogging and am always amazed by her creativity and ingenuity. Her home is gorgeous and her spirit is sweet and genuine. It’s such an honor to feature her in my Charming Home Series!

Country Style Sun RoomOne of my favorite rooms in Kim’s house is her sun room, and I think you can see why. It’s so bright and cheerful, and Kim has decorated it beautifully. She has such an eye for design and color!

Sitting Room at Savvy Southern StyleKim’s sitting room is cozy and warm with a subtle richness. Neutral tones come together beautifully under a vaulted ceiling and a gallery wall of hunting prints.

Traditional Style Great RoomA beautiful fireplace takes center stage in the great room. Note how Kim pulled out the color of the marble surround in the fireplace with a similar red tone in the upholstered furniture. Highlighting colors like this is a great way to unify a room, especially a larger room. I love the tufted ottoman that serves double duty as a coffee table!

French Country KitchenFrench country is the style theme in Kim’s gorgeous kitchen. Painted cabinets and bright pops of color create a warm and welcoming space to cook.

French Country KitchenAnother view of the kitchen reveals more color and charm. I love the way Kim hung her wooden cutting boards and enamel colander on the side of the cabinets. A creative pot rack creates additional kitchen storage for utilitarian pieces. I always enjoy seeing what projects Kim has up her sleeve!

Breakfast Room at Savvy Southern StyleOodles of charm is found in Kim’s breakfast room with its buffalo check curtains and sunny yellow chairs. The hay forks on the wall are a whimsical touch to this space. Did you notice a pair of antlers is securing the forks to the wall? So clever! I love unexpected touches like this in a home.

French Country Dining RoomKim painted the hutch in her dining room that’s filled with gorgeous white ironstone! Kim is quite a whiz with the paint brush. And she always picks the perfect colors!

Traditional Style Master BedroomNot only is Kim crafty with a paint brush, but she assembles the most beautiful bedding ensembles I’ve seen, like this one in the master bedroom! Seriously, her bed dressings are prettier than any I’ve seen in the most high-end of department stores or hotels.

Farmhouse Style Guest BedroomThe charm of farmhouse style decorates a guest bedroom in Kim’s home. A great mix of patterns creates a comfortable, homey look!
