Stunning Thanksgiving Table Setting Ideas to Impress Your Guests
One thing my mother taught me was how to set a beautiful table for entertaining. She coordinated her centerpiece with place settings and table linens, creating special ambiance for memorable gatherings. Today I’m featuring ten Thanksgiving table setting ideas for the upcoming holiday.
A Thanksgiving tablescape can be elaborate like the example above, or it can be simply sweet like the setting below. I love the rich color of the mums in the floral arrangement, but I also love the creamy, monochromatic of the simpler table setting. Do you have a preference between the two?
A knotted napkin is an easy way to “fold” a dinner napkin without requiring a lot of skill. A macrame table runner is paired with woven placemats to create texture, while beautiful roses and eucalyptus take center stage on the table.
An earthy Thanksgiving table setting exudes an organic vibe with a few stalks of wheat tied around linen napkins with twine and a few more stalks in a vintage bottle. Gray plates pair with gold flatware for warmth, as opposed to silver which would create a cooler look.
Here’s another tablescape that incorporates natural elements like miniature pumpkins, gourds, and fall flowers. Don’t hesitate to take a nature walk and bring back items to decorate your holiday table.
Rich rust and burgundy come together for a truly warm table setting. I love the napkins which provide a bit of pattern.
Another idea for napkin placement is to simply fold them in quarters and place them on the plates. Add a gourd or mini pumpkin on top for a bit of whimsy.
Feel free to mix colors on your table. I’ve used this idea on some of my table settings, mixing napkin colors.
If I lived somewhere warmer, I’d love to host Thanksgiving dinner outside and have a gorgeous flower arrangement like this. Isn’t the color beautiful?
The napkins are folded like an envelope for the silverware to be tucked inside.
And finally, this is one of my favorite table settings from Thanksgiving several years ago. I still have the flatware but I gave the amber glasses to my daughter. I also gave her the table and chairs when they moved into their current home.
I hope you found some inspiration and ideas to create your own, unique Thanksgiving table setting for turkey day!
