A classic and timeless tree, you’ll find a mix of pine cones and glass-blown ornaments on this beautiful tree. The wrapping paper on the gifts matches the aesthetic of the tree, creating a cohesive holiday corner in a cozy home.
Not gonna lie. I love this simple tree with sparse branches. Ornaments are limited to white and gold balls in various sizes. The shape of the tree is near perfection.
A metallic tree is stuffed full of ornaments in a range of sizes and metal tones. Look carefully and you’ll see glittery leaves and bits of branches sticking out of the tree’s boughs. Nearby decorations use the same metallic color scheme, enhancing the overall look.
This festive Christmas tree is the one I set up last year, and I think is my favorite tree of all that I’ve ever decorated. For years I kept vintage ornaments carefully stored in the attic, unused. I wasn’t ready to let them go and finally last year, I brought them all out again. I mixed in some new ornaments as well to add color. Burgundy velvet ribbons completed the look.
Faux white Christmas trees seem to be losing their popularity after the farmhouse decorating craze started to wane, but I still think they look pretty and almost fantasy-like. The ornaments are white and neutral-toned for a pleasing, monochromatic look.
Here’s another unadorned tree with natural pine cones. Who says simple can’t be festive?
Another one of my favorite festive Christmas tree is this one from two years ago (I called it my Old World Christmas tree). It’s especially meaningful to me because it includes vintage ornaments from Ukraine that I found on Etsy. I set this tree up the year that the Ukrainian war began. I wasn’t sure the ornaments would arrive in time due to the war, but they did.
My Old World tree also has ornaments from King of Christmas, so they featured it on their website along side the ornaments I used.
A big room calls for a big tree and this one fills the bill.
A pretty, frosted tree features ornaments in a neutral palette.
I call this festive Christmas tree the candy cane tree. Not only are there candy cane “pillows” on the couch, but even the wrapping paper is candy-cane striped.
Another one of my favorite trees from a few years ago is this neutral Scandinavian style tree. I added remote-controlled, battery operated candle lights to the branches for something different.
I love this sparse, table top tree with paper honeycomb ornaments. Note how the ornaments aren’t arranged symmetrically on the tree, and the lights are hung a bit haphazardly. I still think it’s pretty even though it looks like the cat might have messed with the lights!
Have you put up your tree yet? I have to confess, I still haven’t done any Christmas decorating. Maybe this weekend I’ll put out a few of my favorite things.
You know what, Jen? I just lOVE your blog because it is not about YOU impressing us with YOUR stuff. Every day I know that when I open up your post it will give me lots of ideas and adventures. Thanks so much for being real and inspiring.
Yes, I feel the same!
I have started to add some Christmas decor and I’ve got one smaller tree done. I was thinking I may put up several smaller trees this year and change them up. Add more decor and call it a day.
I love all your personal trees, but last year’s colorful, vintage is my favorite. Nothing beats a heavily ornamented tree with vibrant traditional colors and meaningful ornaments, in my book. Sooooo pretty.
What wonderful and charming Christmas trees. Thanks for the Christmas inspiration!
My favorite was the Scandinavian tree.
At first, I loved tree number 2, then 3, then the white ones…lol. It is fun to change things up every year. And have you seen the Citrine Living blog tree this year? All red, white and blues.
These are beautiful trees. But they make me wonder where the ornaments made by my (45 year old) daughter in kindergarten go?
Such beautiful trees. Last year we bought an artificial tree for the first time. I will decorate it the first week in December now. With natural trees we could never put them up so early.
