9 Beautiful Sun Rooms You’ll Love

home decor May 11, 2019

We’ve had a lot of rainy days the past couple weeks and I’m craving sunshine – big time! So I guess it’s no surprise that today’s post features beautiful sun rooms that I think you’re going to love!

My recent plant fetish is making me love the Monstera (at left) and Fiddle Leaf Fig (at right) in this light and bright sun room with bamboo shades at the windows. My daughter Bridget just had similar shades installed at her new house this week.

Here’s the mother of all sun rooms – windows at the ceiling as well as around the walls!

Some people decorate their sun rooms with wicker or garden type furniture. This owner styled theirs with wing chairs and farmhouse decor.

A vaulted glass ceiling creates an atrium – perfect for combining wicker seating and plants galore. It’s great for over-wintering some of your favorite annuals, too.

Tufted furniture adds an air of elegance to this room wrapped in French doors and transom windows. I think this one is my favorite.

A Victorian style sun room is the epitome of them all. Think back to Victorian times when it was en vogue to fill your home with plants.

Which of these sun rooms is your favorite?

I hope you’ve had less rain than we’ve had here in Illinois. Many of the farm fields still have standing water and streams where they didn’t exist before. The ducks are happy, though!

I love sun rooms and have thought of closing in my screened in porch . You could grow lots of plants if you had one. I think i am turning into a duck day or over night it has rained every day forever. It does quit for about 36 hrs. every once and a while so i can mow. You have a wonderful Mother’s Day.

I love the idea of dining in a sunroom, but for more frequent use, I would probably use it as a reading room or just a place to relax where there is no TV, radio or electronic devices.

Omg I love all those 4 pane windows! I’d love to use them when we build but have yet to find a place that sales the two over two style. Anyone know where to find windows like these?

The Windows need no mullions glass only. You want a view. The ceilings need to be flat for more cozy feeling .the room need not be to big not everyone has a lot of money but would enjoy having a sunroom.
