Charming Shabby Cottage Home Tour ~ Cottage Fix
I love when two styles come together in perfect unison and Sally at Cottage Fix has brilliantly married cottage style with shabby chic. Her charming shabby cottage home style is simple and pretty … just how I like it! Lots of white, my favorite color, paired with soft textiles and great architectural details!
First up is Sally’s amazing sun room with brick floors! I’ve always wanted a room with brick floors like this.
A wood table with curvy legs give the room an air of elegance while providing a cozy spot for tea or a home cooked meal made from scratch.
Ample windows allow plenty of natural light to shine into this shabby cottage style sun room.
Couldn’t you just lounge in here for hours on end? I know I could!
Adjacent to Sally’s charming sun room is her vintage style dining room. A chippy white round table takes center stage while chippy shutters provide an architectural element in the corner. Once again, Sally has incorporated a wooden piece of furniture to help ground the room.
Another corner boasts a beautiful china cabinet and chalk board that looks good without any text.
Sally keeps her rooms simple and pretty with soft colors.
Sally’s updated kitchen keeps its shabby cottage charm with ballooning white curtains and a collection of white ironstone pitchers … you know how I love white ironstone! The mullioned windows add their own charm and appeal!
Most older homes come equipped with built-ins, like this corner hutch in Sally’s kitchen.
Say hello to Paisley! Sally’s cute little pup who has made himself comfortable on the couch. Can you blame him? Sally adds elements of charm like the shutters on the windows, a vintage fan in the corner, and a pretty piano stool that can serve as a table or even a footstool for that matter. Love the nubby rug underfoot! Textural details give this charming home warmth and comfort.
You’ll find more cozy seating in the guest room where you can enjoy this beyond gorgeous wicker couch.
Soft blues and white are woven throughout Sally’s charming shabby cottage style home.
How about Sally’s bathroom? Have you seen a bath room more charming than this? The pale blue and white color scheme repeated here is so calming, the claw foot tub is gorgeous, and bathing in that sunlight would be pure heaven!
Beautiful shabby chic bedding dolls up the bedroom and the slightly messy bed oozes comfort.
Sally’s white brick cottage with lace in the windows is a place I’d be happy to live. I think I first discovered her on Twitter, and when I landed on her blog, I honestly think I looked at every page! I immediately asked to feature her home on my Charming Home Series … I think you can see why!
Even her garden spaces have a sense of calm, shabby cottage styling!
I hope you enjoyed touring Sally’s charming home as much as I did.

What a sweet cottage. Just found your lovely blog and I am so happy I did.
Blessings.
All lovely, but I love that miniature schnauzer the best. The breed has been in my family for over 40 years.
