Color and romance come together in today’s charming home tour! Anita at Far Above Rubies has infused her artistic personality throughout her home in a warm and welcoming way. She makes great use of space without sacrificing style!
Anita’s romantic living room makes fun use of the color pink. Neutral walls and furniture allow the color to pop. I love how she balances the entire look.
Architectural details create interest in Anita’s elegant dining room. Wrought iron legs under the table provide visual appeal while an old wooden door propped against the wall provides a backdrop for vintage frames. A female portrait, a skirted chair, and fresh floral arrangement on the table add just the right touch of softness.
French country style is found in Anita’s kitchen with open shelving and a flirty skirted sink. Rich wood floors add to the warmth of this beautiful room.
An elegant chandelier keeps watch over the music room with its cello and baby grand piano. Anita started playing piano when she was 3 and is quite the accomplished musician. She’s performed at the White House and has traveled the world performing for troops as a member of the Air Force Band. As you can see from her pretty home, her artistry isn’t limited to music … she has a great visual eye, too.
A beautiful iron bed takes center stage in Anita’s romantic bedroom. I love her use of color on the bed and the vintage steamer trunk fits perfectly at the foot of the bed.
Anita’s girls are so lucky to have this beautifully decorated bedroom. Once again, just the right touch of rich color is added to a neutral backdrop. Soft netting and a glass chandelier add feminine appeal. Such a pretty room!
Anita has given special thought to her outdoor spaces too. Her front porch with its row of rockers beckons you to sit and visit while enjoying the view.
But that’s not all! Anita has entertaining space on her back porch too, with its comfortable vintage style.
To see more of Anita’s beautiful artistry, be sure to visit her at Far Above Rubies. You’ll be captivated by her sweet soul and tasteful style.
Lately I’ve been wanting to do something with dish towels, napkins, pot holders, etc. I’m not sure why … I just thought it would be a quick and easy way to add some prettiness to the kitchen and dining room. So I broke down and took a trip to Hobby Lobby for some inspiration and…
