Charming Home Tour ~ Finding Silver Pennies
Today’s charming home tour features a blogger near and dear to my heart. I’m happy to feature Danielle of Finding Silver Pennies! Her home has a beautiful and easy coastal style, with Danielle’s painted furniture pieces spotted throughout. Danielle is one of the sweetest bloggers I’ve met and she has a great sense of style. And lucky girl … she lives near the beach on the east coast!
Danielle’s home has the perfect east coast Nantucket exterior!
Blue shutters are a classic accent to weathered shingle siding.
The first thing you notice when stepping inside Danielle’s coastal home is the gorgeous wood trim and floors. It provides such a rich vibe throughout the home and I love that she’s kept it untouched by paint.
In the living room, you see more of the rich wood trim around the fireplace. My first home had trim work like this and I really miss it. They just don’t make houses like this anymore!
Also in Danielle’s living room is this gorgeous Chesterfield sofa.
I think it pairs so beautifully with the rich wood trim and floors.
Danielle’s dining room is probably my favorite room in her charming seaside home. Her elegant chandelier suspends gracefully over the dining table, decorated with a pretty floral centerpiece.
A built-in hutch in Danielle’s sunny kitchen provides additional storage space.
Built-ins like this are a great feature of older homes.
A ceramic fish pitcher hints at Danielle’s eastern seaside town.
You can see more of Danielle’s kitchen in her post about moving into her home.
Danielle recently gave her sun room a makeover. Isn’t it pretty? What a great place to dine or sit and relax with a glass of iced tea watching the sun set.
Beautiful bedding dresses Danielle’s bed in the master bedroom.
A rustic wooden headboard provides soft contrast in the room.
One of the boys’ bedroom has a fun coastal vibe, with fish bedding and soft blues and white.
A simple valance at the window allows plenty of seaside sunshine to stream into the room!
Danielle recently stenciled the wall in her guest bedroom.
I just adore her choice of soft bedding in this room.
The upstairs bathroom has great cabinetry and storage.
And if you look closely, you’ll notice the glass doorknob … just one of several in Danielle’s home.
I can’t talk about Danielle without mentioning her artistic talent in giving old furniture a fresh new look. She’s a master with the paint brush … you’ll want to see her furniture before and after page for inspiration!

Great tour and I love her whole house. I look at Chesterfield sofas all the time and want one so much. I never saw one in leather like hers before.
Sue, I searched and searched for this Chesterfield, I’d been wanting one for so long and I found this one on Craigslist. Hurrah!
