Charming Home Tour ~ Thoughts from Alice

Charming Home Series, home decor, home tour November 16, 2014

Today I have a very special charming home tour for you (do I say that every Sunday?). Alice of Thoughts from Alice is someone I’m quite fond of even though we’ve never met face-to-face. She truly has a sweet, loving spirit and I love her artistic style. I also love her home, which is a circa 1930’s house that she and hubby are fixing up. Let’s take the tour …

Circa 1930 Front PorchComing up to the Alice’s front door, you’re greeted by a charming arch.

And I love the windows on the second floor. It’s those unique little touches that make older homes appealing.

Vintage Style Entry WayInside, Alice has made smart use of her entry way.

I love the simple curtain treatment on the vintage door.

Neutral Living Room with Plenty of Vintage StyleIn the living room, gorgeous leather furniture provides comfy seating.

Alice adds warm textiles with knit throws and pretty pillows.

Rustic Vintage Dining RoomIn the dining room, Alice has added a rustic mantel that she decorates with the seasons.

Plenty of light pours into this beautiful space and fuzzy seat covers provide an eclectic vibe.

Rustic Outdoor Dining and Entertaining AreaThe dining room isn’t the only place to enjoy a good meal and great conversation.

Alice has fixed up her back porch for fun and entertaining.

Kids PlayroomBack inside, Alice has created an adorable playroom for her two children.

In this photo it’s decked out for Christmas. What child wouldn’t love playing in here?

Under the Eaves BedroomJust like my house, Alice has an under-the eaves-bedroom with soft romantic touches.

Old Door in Vintage HomeAn old door  adds farmhouse appeal to Alice’s charming home.

A little girl’s dress adorns the inside of the rustic door.

Coffee Filter Angel WingsFinally, I wanted to show some of Alice’s artistic talent.

On her blog she shares how to make these beautiful angel wings from coffee filters!

I hope you’ll head over to Thoughts from Alice and see more of Alice’s inspiration.

Older homes truly do have that built-in charm and appeal. And Alice’s home is no exception. She has such a great way of creating so much warmth and coziness with her unique style into every room.
