Got a vintage wagon or basket? Stack it with a few pumpkins and place it in the garden or near the front door.
Love this vintage wheelbarrow overflowing with small pumpkins. It looks great on the porch of an historic home and complements the fall foliage near the front door.
A collection of pumpkins and gourds is an easy to way to add outdoor fall decorations to your home. Choose a variety of shapes and colors.
Add a pretty autumn foliage wreath to your front door. And if you’re especially ambitious, paint your front door a fall color for the season!
This beautiful home keeps things simple with a row of mums in a flowerbox at the top window. Fall-colored foliage on nearby trees and bushes completes the look.
Don’t forget outdoor textiles. Swap out summer pillows and throws for autumn plaids and patterns.
Create outdoor (or indoor) fall bouquets for al fresco dining while the temperatures still allow. Hollow out a pumpkin to use as a vase. Place a mason jar or other glass vase that will fit inside the pumpkin to hold water for your arrangement. The look is super festive. If the arrangement allows, attach the lid of the pump as part of the bouquet. Cute, right?
Don’t want to create a pumpkin vase? Your fall flowers will look beautiful in any vase. A simple white one allows the colors of the flowers, stems, and berries to shine.
Most of us don’t have a vintage car for outdoor fall decorations, but doesn’t this vignette look great? Even if you don’t have the car, you can create the look with strings of lights, baskets of pumpkins, crates of mums, and haybales. The scene is perfect for an outdoor party.
Elevate pumpkins to a new level using an old post. Meanwhile, a pile of pumpkins creates a border against the bushes while tiny pumpkins line the top of the porch rail.

Just wonderful and so cheery for my slow to get going on a Monday self!
Such great ideas! Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful displays!
I’ll just take the vintage red car! How cool is that?! I always enjoy seeing all the pots/tubs/buckets filled with gourds and pumpkins but I think I’d need to grow my own to be able to afford it. Those tiny pumpkins here are almost $5 each! Tiny ones maybe $2 but it would take a lot then I have to toss them or else make pie:0) The fall season is just too short for me to spend so much. I did do some pepper plants with wonderful berries and Heucheras for the porch. I enjoy seeing others decor though and this was perfect for this fall morning..thanks Jennifer!
I hear you! Everything has become so incredibly expensive here in upstate/ central NY- think Utica, Syracuse, etc. Mums which are just seasonal, not hardy here, at Walmart are $25 a pot! Same here with the pumpkin prices. Pie pumpkins are different from the ones we display, for the most part. And canned pumpkin is mostly squash, anyway. I love to change up my home for various seasons and holidays, but just have to cut back now on everything.
That is so funny you mention that canned pumpkin is mostly squash as I just watched Garden Answer and Laura had said the same thing. Who knew! Mums for $25! Oh my!! We could buy early in the spring and plant but I just haven’t the space for a mum that only blooms a short time..Laughing I know I’m impatient and cheap these day! Oh well…Our friends live in Valhalla NY and they say the same thing. I just need a farm! That’s what I need:0)
Happy Fall!
That wicker baby carriage is so wonderful. I’d love to have one. It would also look great with Christmas greens in it.
These were fun and inspirational to look at, thanks.
Once again, a fun and inspiring post! I’m afraid I wouldn’t get much decorating or anything else done though, if I had that comfy cushioned chair on the porch of the 4th picture. Also, love the simplicity of the white pumpkin saying “Welcome” and written in my favorite cursive!
