A Cozy Breakfast Table for Two
On occasion it’s fun to set a cozy breakfast table for two … whether it’s for you and a friend, you and your hubby, or you and whoever. In my opinion, food seems to taste better when you have a nice place setting to stage it. Isn’t that why we like to go out to eat at a nice restaurant? In addition to having someone else do the cooking, it’s the whole dining experience that makes the meal so enjoyable
Rather than set a couple places at our breakfast table, I decided to set a cozy table for two on the other side of the kitchen. Our old bead board cabinet served as the table.
This cabinet used to hang on the wall, but hubby kept hitting his head on it when he’d walk by. So off the wall it came and it fit quite nicely on the floor.
My vintage tablecloth is folded in thirds to create a table runner.
Pretty little mums create a simple centerpiece in a painted vintage bottle.
I love their happy little faces with the tips of their petals painted lavender.
I love the morning sun in the kitchen. And the fact that the days are longer and getting a bit warmer is helping immensely to boost my spirits.
On this particular morning, breakfast consists of vanilla yogurt and berries.
I prefer a light breakfast. A heavy breakfast makes me sleepy.
Soon we’ll be eating our breakfast out on the front porch.
I love sitting outside to enjoy a morning cup of coffee listening to the birds sing!
But for now, we can enjoy a cozy breakfast table for two right here.
LOVELY Jennifer!!
So charming 🙂
It looks lovely Jennifer and I like the pretty flowers and the soft pastels of the dishes.
You create such pretty table settings, Jennifer. Way better than any restaurant. It would be a treat to eat at your house!
So very quaint and inviting! Simply lovely Lisa @ Sweet Tea N’ Salty Air
