A Custom Kitchen with Delft Blue Influences

kitchen ideas December 23, 2019

A gorgeous custom kitchen with an over-sized island and Delft Blue influences is just the first of many details that caught my eye in this San Francisco cooking space. The wood island is beautifully grained with a warm honey tone. But that’s just the beginning!

The enormity of the wooden kitchen island with a sturdy stone top is enough to excite even the most amateur of chefs. The lucky homeowners also get to enjoy a vaulted wood ceiling, expansive windows, and a blue and white tiled nook with a custom range.

The cobalt blue range is a chef’s dream! And as if that weren’t enough, a beautiful display of copper pots and pans is at the ready, along with a pot filler. The unique tile calls to mind the beautiful patterns of Delft Blue pottery.

Cream-colored cabinets line the other side of the custom kitchen with a smaller blue and white patterned tile for the back splash. I love refrigerators that have a wooden door to cover the appliance. It’s something I’d like to install in my own kitchen, with a utility closet right next to it for a broom and mop.

Note the pale blue and white pattern on some of the cabinets which echoes the Delft Blue influence.

Prized dinnerware is proudly displayed in a large plate rack between large windows. A light blue table provides ample dining space. I’m glad I’m not the only one with too many plates!

I love that blue stove and tile, a little bigger than i would choose for a kitchen, but i love the look of it, in my kitchen is exactly where i have been, just sat down for a break, thanks for sharing.
