13 Ideas for Decorating with Succulents

Most people enjoy live plants in their home, but they don’t have any because they’re afraid they’ll kill them … and then what’s the point?  Add a little greenery to your home by decorating with succulents. They’re an easy plant to grow and come in a wide variety of shapes and shades of green. To help inspire you to grow succulents, I’m sharing a round-up of 13 ideas for decorating with succulents.

Succulents planted in cigar boxesNot too long ago I shared how to plant succulents in a cigar box. I added a bit of moss and tiny sea shells to decorate my succulents planter. This is a really easy project to complete.

 

How to Make a Hanging Globe TerrariumOne of my favorite planting projects is this hanging globe terrariums. It’s so much fun choosing all the tiny succulents that go inside. Again, I added a few tiny sea shells for extra appeal.

Thrift Store Planter for SucculentsDIY Inspired shows how to make cute planters for succulents using thrift store finds.

 

Driftwood Wall PlantersCraftberry Bush made cute  driftwood succulent planters, and then she hung them on the wall.

Succulent Pots Decorated with Sharpies

Succulents look so pretty in small pots. DIY Candy decorated these with sharpies, then added glass marbles after planting the succulents.

 

Painted Terra Cotta PotsPastels and Macarons added gold and white paint to terra cotta pots, then tucked little cacti inside.

 

Faux Succulent Wall HangingThese faux succulent planters from Country Chic Cottage hang on the wall. I’ve seen these made with live succulents, but they’re difficult to water when hanging on the wall. Love these!

    Jennifer, thank you for sharing these. I don’t have a green thumb at all, so I’ve been wanting to try succulents, but didn’t know much about them. I want to try the hanging globe one that you shared. Thanks for your help.
