Decorated Gift Card Holders
Both of my daughters have birthdays this month, and because they’re older, it’s harder to buy gifts for them. It was so easy when they were little and I could get them toys. I loved buying Muffy VanderBear and her friends, or Ginny dolls in their pretty dresses. These days, my daughters want workout clothes, kitchen appliances, or gift cards. Gift cards aren’t very personal, but then I realized I could personalize them with decorated gift card holders.
I found plain, white, gift card holders at the craft store and decided to decorate them.
I started by stamping them with my hand-script stamp in a variety of colors.
I added some pretty paper flower stickers.
And added baker’s twine in lieu of ribbon.
I also found some 3-D paper butterfly stickers at the craft store.
These decorated gift card holders sure look prettier than plain old white ones.
I purchased a gift card from Charming Charlie for my daughter Stephanie’s birthday.
She likes butterflies so that’s the decorated gift card holder I chose for her.
And of course, I added a few chocolates in there too!

Your little gift card holders are so pretty. Happy Birthday to your daughters!
Those are so adorable and I just love how they take something that seems so impersonal and gives them such a personal feel! 🙂
Those are the prettiest gift card holders I’ve ever seen!
These are so pretty, Jennifer! Great idea to personalize plain ones. I love the script stamp you used.
So, so pretty! Where on earth did you find the handscript stamp…just gorgeous! I wouldn’t want to open this in fear of destroying how gorgeous it looks! (though I’d find some way to get into it to get to that gift card) ;D
Thanks for sharing! You are so talented as always!! <3
