Discover Quaint Luxury in a Queens Club Garden Flat
Today we’re touring a unique Queens Club Garden flat by Brooke Copp-Barton Interiors. The Queens Garden Club is an estate of 33 blocks of mansion apartments in London created by a developer in the 19th century. The flat you’re going to see is Victorian English in style, with a hint of modernity. It’s colorful and quaint and I think you’re going to like it.
The central hall leads to a warren of rooms within the garden flat. When you enter through the front door, you can see straight into the kitchen. An arch in the hall hints at some of the luxury, while the painted trim gives a taste of the color that’s to come.

Arched windows provide sunny views and enhance the Victorian vibe of the apartment. Light blue walls and striped drapes set the backdrop for the boucle, tufted chairs in the living room. Accents of red appear in the ottoman and lamp shade.

The other side of the living room reveals a pretty fireplace framed with a painted mantel and red tile. The pendant light and wall art create an eclectic look and reflects the owner’s fondness for modern art.

Another bay window at the far end of the living room creates a dining nook. You’ll see the same striped drapery, but this time in green instead of blue. Light, wood-planked floors are in perfect condition.

The kitchen wears a pretty shade of blue on the cabinets and features more red accents in the form of shades and artwork.

A wild wallpaper pattern hugs the perimeter of a small powder room with the tiniest sink I think I’ve ever seen.

A hallway leads to one of three colorful bedrooms in the garden flat.

When you’re short on space, wall sconces make a convenient way to light things up when you can’t squeeze in a table lamp for nighttime reading. There’s a nice mix of pattern and color in this bedroom. It’s kept clean-looking with the creamy white board and batten.

One of the bathrooms features a bold floor pattern, which is something you see more of in the design world. I’m happy to say that my bathroom floor will be installed in about three weeks. It’s also a bold pattern.

The master bedroom continues the red and blue theme seen throughout this quaint garden flat with both Victorian and English influences.

A makeshift office is tucked into an alcove in the master bedroom.

And here’s a view of the master bathroom as seen from the foot of the bed. Sweet and simple.

Cute. “Cleaned up” English cottage decor. I often don’t like English cottage, but this has been simplified enough that it is charming…and I love the fact that their sconces are wired in so no ugly cords. They have certainly made the most of limited space.
This is a good example of quintessentially English smaller space living and how nice it can be. The location of these apartments is spot on being near Kensington, my favourite part of London.
