Cozy Cabin of Contrasts You’ll Want to Curl Up In!

home tour December 22, 2021

Once you see this cozy cabin by Snake River Interiors, you’ll want to curl up in it all winter long. Although it has exposed dark log walls, there’s enough white-painted paneling to keep it from feeling dark and foreboding. This little cottage should be called the cabin of contrasts. The rustic dark logs stand out against white shiplap walls and ceiling. The rusticity of the wood looks great with the elegant chandelier.

Classic, traditional furniture creates an efficient conversation area for those wintry nights. And what a beautiful winter scene through those French doors. A gallery wall of bird prints is a nod to the nature scene outside.

I love vintage oil paintings and this one is a rustic scene in an elegant gold frame.

Are you surprised by the pale blue color of the kitchen cabinets? You might expect wood or something darker but this is just another contrast in this cozy guest cabin.

Despite the snow outside, the cozy cabin exudes warmth and style inside. The charming breakfast nook enjoys great views of the Wyoming terrain.

Views of nature are enjoyed from the bedroom, too. The iron bed features an extra deep mattress, a plump comforter, and plenty of pillows that add comfort and color. I think I’d leave the curtains open when falling asleep to allow the moonlight to filter through the windows.

A metal pendant light contrasts nicely against the log walls and mirrored farmhouse doors give the illusion of a larger bedroom.

It does look so nice and cozy, Wyoming is such a pretty place to spend some time.
