Southern Hospitality: Charming Home Tour

Today’s charming home tour features a blog I started reading years ago and still enjoy today. Rhoda from Southern Hospitality is a creative soul with seemingly endless energy!  She’s a passionate decorator and has tackled a lot of DIY projects around her house. I’ve learned a lot from her just from reading her blog and was honored when she featured my home a couple years ago. It meant the world to me and now I’m so pleased to feature her home here at Town and Country Living.

Traditional Style Living Room

Rhoda uses a subtle mix of color and pattern to add interest to her beautiful rooms. Cool blues infuse her living room with its rustic fireplace and chandelier. Graphic black and white pillows provide an unexpected yet pleasing accent.

Traditional Style Dining Room

Rhoda’s beautiful dining room features board and batten siding with a cozy round table to create intimate space for dinner parties. I love her trio of ironstone soup tureens lining her dining buffet. A farmhouse style lighting fixture adds charm all its own.

White IKEA Kitchen

I love Rhoda’s kitchen! She shows the complete before and after on her blog. I love her choice of hardware on the white cabinets and the pretty scrollwork corbels that support her open shelves. Subway tile finishes off the backsplash.

Traditional Style Den

Floral patterned curtains add a punch of color in Rhoda’s den. I love her mix of furniture in this space. Rather than match everything, Rhoda creates unique interest with 3 different fabrics on her upholstered seating pieces. It all works together beautifully!

Master Bedroom with Sleigh Bed

A gorgeous sleigh bed takes center stage in Rhoda’s master bedroom. A unique wall treatment pairs with patterned curtains and a striped rug. The feeling is casual yet elegant all at once.

Master Bathroom

Just off the bedroom is Rhoda’s master bathroom. LOVE the rustic cabinet on the wall!

Screened Porch

I’m a huge fan of paisley and just adore Rhoda’s screened-in porch with its dark wicker furniture, colorful pillows, and stained glass window. She really has a knack for mixing patterns and colors without overwhelming the living space.

Screened Porch Breakfast Nook

On the opposite end of the porch is this charming dining space. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to enjoy coffee here in the morning and dinner in the evening? If it were me, I’d enjoy all my meals out here when weather allows.

Blue Hydrangeas in Georgia Garden

Rhoda recently shared some of her outdoor spaces and her hydrangeas are just stunning!  Her entire home is pretty and inviting and I know you’ll enjoy Rhoda’s blog. Be sure to visit her at Southern Hospitality. You won’t be disappointed.

  1. I love all the mix of color and textures. It look like a nice collection of things from over time and I would love to have hydrangeas like those.

  2. Rhoda has done an amazing job of transforming her house into a beautiful home. I have been a follower of her blog for several years now and have been so impressed at all the improvements she has done. Even the outside of her house looks nothing like it did when she first bought it.

Oh, and make sure you check out her posts on her Dad’s vegetable garden… talk about a green thumb! He always has one of the prettiest vegetable gardens that I have ever seen.
