DIY Show Off ~ Charming Home Tour
Woohoo! Today is the first official day of spring! We have crocus blooming and I picked up some violas and purple hyacinths to plant in the garden. The robins are back in full force and the Virginia Bluebells are poking up out of the ground. I love when the earth comes alive again. I also love Sundays when I get to feature someone’s beautiful home for Charming Home Series. Today I’m so very happy to feature Roeshel at DIY Show Off. Roeshel was one of the first bloggers I started following. She’s highly creative and resourceful!
I’m starting the tour with Roeshel’s kitchen because it was the first room I remembered seeing on her blog a few years ago. Roeshel is using a vintage dresser as her kitchen island (she’s been known to use desks, too).
Roeshel and her husband have been renovating their farmhouse over the years.
Industrial style shelves transformed a hallway behind the kitchen into a beautiful pantry. I wish I had the space to do the same.
Roeshel enjoys a pleasing mix of styles, like you see here in her family room. A contemporary, graphic rug pairs with traditional, tufted wing chairs and a vintage mantel.
I have a total crush on Roeshel’s dining room. The chairs are gorgeous and that houndstooth rug! Note the chartreuse barn-style sliding door. The color is an exquisite choice.
Roeshel carved out a reading nook in her living room. The gallery art wall of botanic prints is a pretty touch.
Who wouldn’t love working in the craft room? The feminine toile desk skirt plays off against the industrial cage light above.
Another graphic pattern takes center stage in the bathroom. I love when homes show playful patterns.
Happy color takes up residence in Roeshel’s guest bedroom. The graphic prints are fun and I love the little banner above the bed.
Outside, the family enjoys beautiful seating on the patio to enjoy nature and gatherings with family and friends.
Roeshel’s beautiful yard is graced with a charming gazebo. The gauzy curtains lend an air of romance to the space. You’ll want to visit Roeshel at DIY Show Off to see more of her home and her projects.
One last thing … I met Roeshel in person at the Country Living Fair in Columbus, Ohio a few years ago (along with a bunch of other amazing bloggers). Roeshel is in the front row, second from right. That’s me on the left in the front. Former CL editor Sarah Gray Miller is in the back row, third from the left.
See more houses in the Charming Home Series!
You’re so lucky to have flowers pushing from the ground, still nothing here yet. Have a great Sunday!
Oh I love her home and her style too It is always so interestering to see what she does next. Great tour.
