13 Easy Valentine’s Day Projects
Do you miss the days of youth when you’d make your own Valentine’s Day cards and hand them out at school? I remember in Girl Scouts one of our holiday projects was to create a unique Valentine. I glued buttons on mine and was quite proud … but Jennifer Mitchell ended up winning our contest because she had a red cardinal glued to hers. Clearly her mother helped her make it. I thought she should be disqualified. Dejected and heartbroken, I tucked my buttoned Valentine under my arm and marched home. Homemade Valentines are special and I still enjoy making them despite my discouraging experience as a scout. Today I’m sharing a roundup of 13 easy Valentine’s Day projects for you … and some of them even have buttons!
So adorable! I love this Button Heart Valentine by Carolyn’s Homework. Simply arrange your buttons and sew them in place. Use an embroidery hoop for a frame and add a bow.
One of my favorite easy Valentine’s Day projects from the past are these mini homemade Valentine cards I created. Look closely and you’ll see several of them have buttons!
These dangling beaded heart ornaments by An Extraordinary Day are so charming! Use them for decoration in the house or attach them to a gift bag.
Another precious project are these fabric Valentine tags from Carolyn’s Homework. Here, Carolyn has attached one to a vase, but they can also be used as gift tags.
Look What Mom Found made super cute felt envelopes! I’ve always loved zigzag stitching, like you see here on the envelopes. So sweet! Tuck candy inside or a homemade coupon for someone you love.
Got any leftover bottle brush trees from Christmas? Turn them into Valentine’s Day trees by adding red beads and felt hearts to your trees.
“Cupid, draw back your bow!” Remember that song resurrected by the Spinners? This darling arrow garland by the Dempster Logbook makes me think of that song.
More Cupid’s arrows from Carolyn’s Homework. These are simply made using twigs and felt.
Kids get enough candy on Valentine’s Day, so I love the idea of giving Apple Valentines like these from Muslin and Merlot. These would be cute to add to someone’s lunch box!
What’s Valentine’s Day without fresh flowers? I share some of my favorite flower arranging tips.
Candles add a little romance to the holiday, too. Dress up simple pillar candles with stick-on felt hearts and some pink baker’s twine. You’ll find more romantic decorating details on my blog.
Speaking of felt, see how easy it is to make this sweet little felt Heart Valentine Banner.
Finally, I love this bubble artwork by Pastels and Macarons. Look closely and you’ll see that the smaller picture is the shape of a heart. So cute!

I LOVE your white bottle brush trees filled with sweet red hearts. Pinning to remember.
