Fall Decorating Details in the Entryway
Here in Illinois, the leaves are still turning from green to gold and the landscape is glowing. I love this time of year but was dealt a rude awakening earlier this week. It snowed!! Can you believe it? The nerve of Mother Nature messin’ with my favorite season! Fortunately it was a light snow and it didn’t stick. Rumor has it the temps are rising back into the 60’s before week’s end. I sure hope so. I’m not nearly ready for Old Man Winter to come skulking around. So anywho, I’ve been busy primping the entryway with Fall decorating details.
When you walk in the front door, you’ll be greeted with loads of glorious sunshine and a smattering of pumpkins, gourds, and vintage items.
Favorite vintage bottles grace the desktop. It’s amazing to me that the kitties haven’t knocked these over! The bottle on the right was found at a local boutique and is hands down my favorite bottle.
I adore the butterfly hanging inside, suspended from an old doorknob.
Such simple creativity went into this piece of art.
This packet of vintage letters is always on display on the desk.
I found them at the flea market and read each one.
A small Baby Boo pumpkin is just one of many Fall decorating details around the house.
I kind of went a little overboard with the Baby Boos this year, to be quite honest.
See? There’s another Baby Boo to the right of the desk on the corner table.
And of course, the Blue Moon pumpkin deserves its pedestal!
It’s these little Fall decorating details that create visual impact in the home.
A humble spaghetti squash pairs with an Autumn gourd to complete the Fall vignette.
I can’t decide if I enjoy decorating more for Fall or Christmas. How about you?
And now, just a reminder that a few blogging friends and I are offering Tastes of the Season all week.
We’re each showcasing a Fall recipe this week.
Yesterday I shared a recipe for Sweet Potato Spoon Bread with Caramel Pecan Sauce. Mmmmm! Hubby said it was the best dessert he’s ever eaten. Ever! Wow!

always beautiful, I love those hints of gold and orange against the blue and white. I spy that your magazine stash is the same as mine!
What a gorgeous entryway; such lovely vignettes. No snow here in the far northwest ‘burbs! You can keep it. 🙂
Jennifer
I love your bright and cheery entry way. Love the fall vignette.
Kris
Jennifer, your vignettes are beautiful. I love your simple, soft style! ~Tammy
I love your simple Fall décor, Jennifer! This is perfect to me. I love the branches in the pitcher. I think I love a simple look to my Fall decorating because I know there is 3x as much to put out at Christmas {and many more trips to the attic and bins to bring down}!
Your front entry is so bright and welcoming Jennifer. I like the sweet touches of fall colour you’ve brought in. I’m already planning my Christmas decor. Can you believe Christmas Eve is just 2 months away?? Have a beautiful day!
Your displays are so perfect and pretty. I love each and every one. They make your space looks so cozy and stylish.
Love you fall décor it is so pretty. I am jealous, I couldn’t find one baby boo this year.
Cynthia
I too have gone a little overboard with the Baby Boo pumpkins this year, but they bring me a smile each time I see them. So if it brings us pleasure it can’t really be overboard, can it?
I also have been having fun with some photography with them. I think I may try to grow some next summer, for the fun of it.
Beautiful fall touches Jennifer! Yes the leaves are really starting to change.I am really enjoying the sunshine today!

Simple, beautiful, and oh so cozy Fall decor! Cold mornings are a sure reminder that winter is coming but I’m still enjoying the colorful and delightful Fall days.
Have a wonderful week 🙂
