Most times in most seasons I have a fresh pineapple on the counter dinining table. I always tie a wide red ribbob on around the top and place it on a white, plain dessert dish. The next week WHEN ripe we enjoy the fruit. Cheap decoration and good for you fruit.
Back in the 80s I wallpapered my kitchen with a colonial design pineapple motif wallpaper.. Border and all. I used a wall text paper and put it up to stay. Fast forward 15 years. Big mistake. I loved it, but removing was backbreaking and tedious. My husband questioned the pineapples and I told him about the welcome tradition. I doubt I’ll decorate with pineapples again. Unless I move to Florida.
Hi Nancy!
I had pineapple wallpaper in my kitchen too back in the 80s!! I loved it. We moved before taking down the wallpaper. I still love the look of wallpaper but don’t currently have any in my home.
OH I LOVE PINEAPPLES!!! As decoration and to eat!! I have grown them from the tops I’ve cut off fresh pineapples. And had one reproduce!! I am a Beach gal and pineapples and the coast just seem to go hand in hand. Right now, I do not have any pineapple decor…much of my things are in storage! We are in a 995 sq ft apt. right now. But, when we are in a house again, pineapples will be used!!!
