Fall Decorating on the Front Porch

fall decorating, farmhouse style, home decor September 19, 2014

Fall isn’t officially here for a couple more days but I think it’s safe to say that autumn has arrived in Illinois.

Today was sunny and near 70 degrees. The perfect day!

I just got back from a couple days in Vegas … a business trip so no secrets to share!

It was 97 degrees in Vegas so today’s temps were a relief.

I’m sprucing up my front porch with a little fall decorating. I figure it’s time.

Fall decorating doesn’t have to be complicated, right?

Purple asters tucked into a shabby chic white basket and hung on the front door.I tucked some Fall asters into a white basket I had hanging on the front door.

I love these dainty, lavender flowers.

I do love Fall, I just don’t like what comes after it.

I’m sprucing up for my Fall home tour which you’ll see this coming Friday.

Such a pretty color of pink, don’t you think?

Beautiful Jennifer. Love the bright colors on that sweet sweet porch. I am so loving this beautiful weather we are having just wish we could have this year around. It has been just gorgeous. Enjoy the week end.

Oh my, I’m so excited that I found your blog via FB Hometalk group. Your style is similar to mine. I have a turquoise front door and I love to incorporate vintage and… we live nearby. I’m in St. Louis, MO.

I’m a big fan of mums and I, too, decorated my front porch with them. I’m in need of some pumpkins but was waiting until we could pick them ourselves from a local pumpkin patch. Loving that white vintage hanging basket on your door.
You have a new follower. I’m going to all of your social media and adding you. I really don’t want to miss anything.

Aren’t the crocks awesome to decorate with. I love them even on their own. I put nearly the same color mums in my crock on my last post. 🙂 Great minds think alike.

Your porch looks very pretty for Fall, Jennifer. I bought some mums this week myself. I love mums and pumpkins and just about everything about Fall. Like you, I just hate what comes after it, too! Especially with what is forecast in the farmer’s almanac for this winter ~ a repeat performance of last year’s weather!
