Fall Decorating on the Front Porch
Fall isn’t officially here for a couple more days but I think it’s safe to say that autumn has arrived in Illinois.
Today was sunny and near 70 degrees. The perfect day!
I just got back from a couple days in Vegas … a business trip so no secrets to share!
It was 97 degrees in Vegas so today’s temps were a relief.
I’m sprucing up my front porch with a little fall decorating. I figure it’s time.
For instant country style, place mums in a stoneware crock.
Fall decorating doesn’t have to be complicated, right?
I tucked some Fall asters into a white basket I had hanging on the front door.
I love these dainty, lavender flowers.
Mums with sunny yellow centers brighten the porch.
I do love Fall, I just don’t like what comes after it.
Does your Fall decorating include the use of mums, or do you add something different?
A grapevine wreath pairs with a rustic wooden star on the front door.
I’m sprucing up for my Fall home tour which you’ll see this coming Friday.
I’m joining a bunch of creative bloggers next week.
Each day you’ll be able to tour about 5 homes with tons of Fall decorating ideas!
A sprig of Sedum from my garden takes up residence in a blue Atlas jar.
Such a pretty color of pink, don’t you think?
I’ve got a tad more Fall decorating to do before the big tour next week!
I’ll have the schedule of home tours for you on Monday so you don’t miss anything.
Don’t forget … my home tour is next Friday!
If you want, you can see my 2013 Fall Home Tour.
The colors on your porch are so pretty and bright! Love the way you painted the door!!

Beautiful Jennifer. Love the bright colors on that sweet sweet porch. I am so loving this beautiful weather we are having just wish we could have this year around. It has been just gorgeous. Enjoy the week end.

Oh my, I’m so excited that I found your blog via FB Hometalk group. Your style is similar to mine. I have a turquoise front door and I love to incorporate vintage and… we live nearby. I’m in St. Louis, MO.
I’m a big fan of mums and I, too, decorated my front porch with them. I’m in need of some pumpkins but was waiting until we could pick them ourselves from a local pumpkin patch. Loving that white vintage hanging basket on your door.
You have a new follower. I’m going to all of your social media and adding you. I really don’t want to miss anything.
Aren’t the crocks awesome to decorate with. I love them even on their own. I put nearly the same color mums in my crock on my last post. 🙂 Great minds think alike.
Your porch looks very pretty for Fall, Jennifer. I bought some mums this week myself. I love mums and pumpkins and just about everything about Fall. Like you, I just hate what comes after it, too! Especially with what is forecast in the farmer’s almanac for this winter ~ a repeat performance of last year’s weather!
Love the bright colors…it looks FALLTABULOUS!
