Are you enjoying all the fall decorating that’s flooding the internet these days? There seems to be no end of inspiration and creativity! Today I’m joining a few creative bloggers to share our homes with you during this week of “Fall in Love with Your Home” tour. I’ve already revealed part of my home decorated for fall a couple weeks ago, so this is my fall farmhouse tour … part two.
My farmhouse kitchen is my favorite room in the house and I’m finally getting it somewhat back to normal. We’ve been so busy canning tomatoes from our garden; our kitchen looked like a tornado ripped through, leaving destruction in its path.
Now that it’s cleaned up and re-organized, I can add simple touches of fall in the kitchen.
… Like a basket of mums in the corner, with a burnt orange pumpkin tucked on the shelf underneath.
I have a white ceramic pumpkin too. Perfect for serving soup!
And speaking of soup, I’ll be making Savory Butternut Squash Soup from these beauties that were grown in my garden. Hubby insisted on planting 2 vines this year, which means there’s more canning in my future! I plan to make several batches of the soup and can them so we can enjoy it throughout the winter months.
The fall season is always bittersweet for me. I love the riotous colors of the trees as the leaves change, but I feel melancholic as the days shorten and temperatures drop.
In a short month, the sun will no longer be shining in my kitchen when I arrive home from work. I always miss seeing my home during daylight. I have to wait for the weekends for that to happen.
My sideboard is decorated simply for fall. Lately I’ve felt like there’s too much stuff out on display and have been paring back on home decor.
My little lamb sign stands watch over these fun little sprays of yellow balls I found at the store.
I’m not really sure what they’re supposed to be, but they’re soft, fluffy, and fun!
A trio of Baby Boos accompany my Bon Appetit sign.
Baby Boos are my all-time favorite fall decorating item. They’re so simple and pretty, and inexpensive too. They look great no matter where you put them!
In the entryway, my Baby Boos are safely tucked inside my wire cloche.
I’ve created a simple vignette by pairing a pumpkin, feather, and lily pod together on an elegant white ironstone platter.
I love decorating with natural elements during the Fall season.
My Boulangerie sign was the perfect accompaniment to a fall vignette.
It all sits on a desk my hubby dragged home from the side of the road. One of our neighbors had it out for the trash man to pick up on garbage day. The wood is a little rough in places, so I plan to paint it to give it a fresh look. The little stool is getting a makeover at the same time. I’ll be sharing their transformations soon.
A spray of leaves is tucked inside a white ironstone pitcher while a basket of mums perches on a nearby chair. I’ve got mums both inside and outside of my house.
In addition to painting the desk, I plan to paint my entryway and living room sometime this fall or winter. In fact, I’ll be doing a lot of interior painting as we get our house ready to sell next spring.
You’re in for a special treat today, because we’re touring the country farmhouse of Anita at Cedar Hill Farmhouse in Texas. I love this ranch style home not only for its pretty decor, but because of the amazing views it enjoys. Anita also has a city house but we’re saving that tour for another day….
The weather forecast calls for snow today, which doesn’t make me happy. So let’s head to warm and sunny Australia and forget about the white fluffy stuff. I think you’ll enjoy today’s minimalist style blue cottage! Photo by One Girl Interiors Inside you’ll find simple furnishings and a painted floor. I like the clean…

Today’s charming home tour is a shingle-style house from the eastern coast of the US. Shingle-style architecture was inspired by a love of Eastlake Queen Ann architecture and a renewed interest in Colonial American architecture. You’ll find this style among seaside cottages where these types of homes were constructed for affluent families. This particular home was…
Your house is lovely. I love the little yellow balls and your orange pumpkin tureen. I’m going to have to go out and find both. I have such a small cape cod home that I’m running out of places to decorate!
I can’t believe you’re selling your home soon! You seem to love it so much I’m sure it will be hard to let it go.
We’ll be listing ours soon too and moving up north to the Chain of Lakes area hopefully by next spring. I’m paring down and sprucing up! It’s tough!
I love all the natural fall touches, Jennifer. Your farmhouse is so lovely; enjoy this last month of light and warmth before the winter weather sets in.
Everything looks beautiful! I’m like you. . . I’ve been paring down the number of things I have on display. Seeing some of the beautiful Fall decor online had me second-guessing that decision, but I when I see how cozy and welcoming your house looks, I realize that it was fine for me to pare down! Thanks for the inspiration.
Ahhhhhhh just gorgeous Jennifer. I love all the light you have in your kitchen. So bright and cheerful. Your fall decor is so pretty. Happy Friday my friend. Have a wonderful week end.

Just beautiful, my friend. But I would not expect any less. I am slobbering over that white pumpkin tureen on the island. Gasp! I just love it and I want it. LOL I love your whole kitchen and would love to one day sit there with you drinking coffee and talking the day away. Thanks for sharing in the “Fall in Love With Your Home” Tour. xxoo, Barb *(shared and pinned)

Gorgeous! I love the fall touches in your lovely farmhouse kitchen, Jennifer. The styling of your desk makes me feel like I’m visiting Provence! And I’m with you and the daylight thing – getting off work in the dark is no fun!
I love how crisp and clean your kitchen looks with all the beautiful white in the background. The autumn colors really pop with the contrast. Absolutely gorgeous!
Everything look lovely, and I’m partial to those baby boos too. I’m sad to hear you are putting your house up for sale in the spring. You will miss it terribly especially your pond.
