Boho Chic Dining Room: Bridget’s Place

dining room decor April 20, 2019

My daughter moved into her charming bungalow a few weeks ago and her boho chic dining room is ready for its first debut here on the blog. It still needs a few final touches but I thought I’d share “stage one.”

An antique hutch is going on the far blank wall. It’s a piece of furniture from my very first home – it’s currently in storage but will be in Bridget’s dining room soon.

A must-have on Bridget’s dining room list were these black dining chairs with woven seats from Poly and Bark. She found the macrame table runner at Target.

I suggested a pair of modern leather end chairs so the room wouldn’t be too match-y. Once the chairs were chosen, we looked at tables on Wayfair and selected an extendable table in a light wood tone.

Here’s the view of the boho chic dining room from the kitchen hall. Bamboo shades have been ordered for the windows and will lend a bit of texture to the space.

Bridget fell in love with this quirky people planter so I got it for her as a surprise. It holds a Ponytail Palm. She names her plants – this one is Bob. I said that’s a good name for it because his hair looks like Sideshow Bob from The Simpsons.

We finally hung the canvas painting of a Sansaveria plant in her dining room. Bridget is probably more of a plant lover than me. Her hubby says the plant store lady (my friend Laura) is our drug dealer.

Besides the antique hutch, the boho chic dining room will get a new rug. Probably something fun and colorful – we’ll see.

This little guy kept trying to crawl up the camera tripod. Soon he’ll be walking and chasing his older brother.

Bridget and I are having so much fun getting her new bungalow style home spruced up. I love her style and can’t wait to share more! Sources for her furniture are below (affiliate links).

      Hi Teena,
We found that print at a local plant store. I haven’t seen it elsewhere, sorry!

The furnishings are ideal. What really took my eye was #28. I love to hug him. He will have so much fun there.
