Friday Finds #42: Preparing for Easter

Do you realize there’s just two weeks and four days before Easter arrives? Last year this time we were in the midst of the pandemic. No Easter Sunday with the family. No attending church in person. No toilet paper in the stores. LOL. (This post contains affiliate links.)

This Easter, it feels like we’re starting to come out of the black hole that we’ve all been living in the past year. While we mourn those who we’ve lost and pray for those who are suffering financially and physically, we can find hope in the days to come.

Last Easter was tough. The reality of not having my family over for dinner was hard – but we were all healthy at the time and were thankful for that. To compensate, I made these fun bunny treat bags that I found on Pinterest. I stuffed them with goodies and dropped them off on the front porch of all my kids’ houses. I made bags for each member of their families. It was a lot of fun and helped brighten the day.

We haven’t made plans yet for this Easter, but if the weather cooperates, it might be fun to do a picnic and outdoor Easter egg hunt with the family. Do you have any Easter plans?

And now, let’s get on with this week’s Friday Finds!

For those of you who love color in the home, you don’t want to miss Joanna Anastasia’s spring home tour. It’s like a breath of fresh air!

I found these pretty Easter Eggs you dye using shaving cream and food coloring. I think my daughter’s boys would love to make these. They seem so simple and I’m sure they’d love playing with shaving cream!

And here’s a pretty, yet simple spring centerpiece using daffodils and white vases. You can use the arrangement as a vignette, on a mantel, on a dresser – anywhere really.

My friend Courtney at Golden Boys and Me shows what her pretty home looks like when it’s decorated for spring.

Have you ever made one of those three-dimensional lamb cakes for Easter? I broke down and bought a cake mold so I can make one with the grands. I think they’ll love decorating it.
