A Special Treehouse, Martha’s Vineyard + More: Friday Finds
This weekend is going to be sunny and 70 degrees!! I’m looking forward to getting outside, pulling weeds, and maybe even planting a few new perennials. Every year I say I’m going to spend less on flowers, but that never happens. Please tell me I’m not the only one who gets carried away at the garden center! Are you ready now for this week’s treasures?
Check out this unique and utterly adorable treehouse located in the UK. Even the SMEG refrigerator is cute and charming! And then there’s the gingham skirting throughout the kitchen.
Annie at Zevy Joy shares how she thrifts for her home and the result is so attractive, not to mention budget-friendly.
I fell in love when I laid eyes on Melissa’s cottage style kitchen makeover. She incorporates so many charming details – everything she touches becomes a bit magical.
Peony season is almost here and Michael at Inspired by Charm shares ideas for creating stunning arrangements with these beautiful blooms.
Are there any key lime pie fans out there? If you raised your hands, you’ll love this recipe for mini no-bake key lime pies. It tastes like summer to me!
I met a girl after my own heart! Pam shares a walking tour of her visit to Martha’s Vineyard and I love every home she captured with her camera. Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Island are both on my vacation bucket list. I hope to get out there next summer, but time will tell.
The bright blue shutters and door on the white house in Martha’s Vineyard is very cheerful in a sea of black and white houses. I also enjoyed the thrift and treehouse post. Thank you, and have fun in the garden.
Of course my favorite was seeing those stately and cute gingerbread like houses.
Each and every one of these posts were inspirational. I ran across Pam Richardson’s blog a couple of years ago and found it delightful, especially how gently but fervently they share their love of Jesus. The series of “gingerbread cottages” shown was so cool. I had no idea such a place existed.
It really blessed me that Melissa used bead board for the most part in her kitchen redesign instead of tiling (although I did see a bit of marble behind the stove). We put up bead board instead of tile for our kitchen backsplash years ago. When we had the small kitchen fire a few months ago, the bead board DID NOT BURN! That was a real saving grace. I will be using it again in the kitchen reconstruction. And lastly… the key lime mini pies!!! When checking out that blog, I noticed that she also makes a KEY LIME ECLAIR CAKE. I make a Chocolate Eclair Cake that is a ” you must bring” to family and friends gatherings. Well, I am going to have to make that Key Lime Eclair Cake for the next gathering! Thanks so much, Jen, for doing what you do. It is a blessing in more ways than you can imagine.
